The thing that strikes me more than anything else about this entire lecture and q&a is the feminist philosophy professor. she has quite a recognisable voice and is the first person to ask a question. just before the last question Fiamengo asks why the feminists are censoring men's rights groups on campus if they are pro men shaking off gender roles and wanting to discuss things they wouldn't normally be able to and the same philosophy professor shouts out that it is because they are blaming feminists. it seems incredible to me that a philosophy professor would just openly admit that they are censoring something that they would otherwise regard as positive solely because it did not reflect her ideology - that is fundamentally and profoundly axiomatically antiphilosophy. it just shows that the search for equality, knowledge and fairness is secondary to upholding feminist doctrine.

so, i decided to check what twitter was saying about the event, not recommended.

there seemed to be an awful lot of misconception about what she was saying and the atmosphere in general seemed extremely hostile.

Fiamengo has very sharp and well trained mind. She is able to de-frame questions and re-frame them appropriately, so making her answers self evident.

I was disappointed that none of the questions seemed to come from anyone with something to add to the discussion. They were all from people who just want to tell her she's wrong. Yet, there were people there who supported her.

Dr Flamengo has the right idea, but I always thought she was a bit lacking as a speaker. Im glad alot of feminists went..that means more people knowing what the real MRM is about, not the caricature they probably want to believe.
