Self-censorship is a sucker's game. People with an axe to grind can ALWAYS find ammo to use against you whether you give them any or not.

But it would be nice to see more substantive discussion/information here and not nearly so much whining about something misandrist you saw on imgur or what your stupid feminist Facebook "friend" said the other day. Yes, the world is FULL of tiny examples of how feminism is wrong or society shits on men... we know that already. What are we going to do about it? That's what I'd rather read about.

News reports about women being violent towards males or a facebook screenshot of someone being a bigot towards males is a lot more impactful for new subscribers than a long, abstract and detached post about male issues.

They are short, direct and illustrative. I think they are helpful more often than not in bringing in more subscribers.

As easy they are to digest and how convenient the information presented can be, we may want to cut down on imgur posts or anything that's image only. As far as a circlejerk goes, that's where I see it the most often.

Another note would be to always be mindful of the strict difference between women and feminists. Feminists are an enemy of MRA's, not women, never women [as a whole].

Less "Ermg this feminist on my Facebook is so dumb come read about how dumb s/h/it is!"

And another more obvious one is to move away from this being a left v right issue. Neither the libtards nor the religious traditionals are our friends.

It may seem that we have more allies on the right, and the fems sure are not fans of the right, but the enemy of our enemy isn't always our friend. Both sides demand your wallet and your life.

We all love this place, it is a place where we can be free and open to each other, where we can seek advice and share things that interest us on the subject of the MRM, but since subbing I have seen a drop of quality in not only the posts but the comments as well.

You seem to have less than 20 posts in almost 2 years in this sub.

You already showed concern here. Just saying why you may be considered a concern troll. People who talk about the quality of this sub while not participating at least semi-actively in this sub is a bit suspicious. You may have very good intentions, but this is shown by doing things, not talking about them. Said this, I agree with your post.

I agree with you and I was even thinking about making a post regarding the quality drop. In addition to the issues you mentioned I think something on the side bar should make it clear that we are fighting for ALL MEN not just White Straight Men. Any post that's supportive of men in any group or highlights their victimization in our society should be welcomed with support from r/MensRights.

We need to do more on Gay, trans, and Minority Men at the very least to improve the image of the sub. Also men here should be educated on the issues of all these men and not just how to be an anti feminsts.

BTW: Apart of being a excellent anti feminists is knowing the issues of men of color, gay and trans that aren't being addressed by feminism. We ought beat them at their own game instead of simply tearing it down. They win by appealing to peoples conscience and for us to win we should show we are more the more conscientious party.

Caring about all the men and the boys is vital to gaining credibility as a voice on men's issues which is not to be confused with popularity since taking unpopular positions is inevitable when place compassion for men on the same level as compassion for women.

It's important to remember that as a budding human rights group, everything we say has an impact on how people will perceive us. There are already subreddits that actively hunt out for posts on this sub that fit their view of us, and out actions and faults will surely shape the narrative of how people perceive the moment going forward.

We must tread lightly and moderate ourselves strictly. We don't have the luxury those who oppose us have.

I would recommend the following advice to solve the problem.

It would help if there could be a recommendation for people to post asking for advice, rather than spew hate. Let's face it. People come here (and to any other activist group for that matter) because they have been hurt. If they suffer in silence, thinking they are powerless, then you end up with angry posts (which is really just lashing out), circle jerks (distraction), and vague/lazy posts (avoidance).

Take a page from women's groups of all varieties: 1) Encourage people to tell their stories 2) Offer support and information

When people are empowered, they become comfortable and more likely to be receptive to learning, and action.

Just my 2 cents.

Im not part of your circle jerk and for me what turns me off is the rape hysteria. I am honestly not afraid of being gang raped by a pack of women. Thats just not a reality for me.

I dont like feminists claiming that their is a rape epidemic but it is even worse coming from men.

Please also realise that equality should refer to law, not trying to make boys act like girls or girls act like boys. MRA's seem to want to be the fairer sex and try to establish a victimhood to advance this.

I hate political correctness and I dont want to create more political correctness by bitching about terms like "man up"

If MRA's become detached from the average bloke then it may as well be feminism, with a bunch of words and phrases that the average person has no idea of the meaning
