It that sense, feminism has always lacked a vision of what emotional health is, how emotionally healthy love can be transacted from one human heart to the other, from mother to son, from father to daughter, from man to woman and from woman to man.

Without this vision, whose lack can never be addressed within the myopia feminism has about the human heart, regardless of gender, feminism remains a mere reactive movement that thus incorporates the very themes in men it teaches are wrong, and sadly will never allow it to ever achieve its own purpose.

This is possibly the best summary of modern feminism I have ever seen.

I'm a Dutch man as well and my mother actually read Opzij (the magazine of the organization he's talking about) and she's STILL a member of it.

One time as a kid I was reading it and didn't understand half of the things in it but I did read little stories about women raping or assaulting men, not as a bad thing, but it was written as a "triumph" for women. I remember how it made me feel that my mother was enjoying reading stuff like that. Recently I confronted my mother about this magazine and she just quietly smirked at me while I was crying(typing this down I suddenly realize how fucked up that actually was WTF) because the feelings of my childhood came back because of it. She didn't react to it afterwards.

That's pretty sad. It's kind of like a story about time travel, where everyone is desperately working toward stopping a horrific event from occurring only to realize in the end that it was their actions that made this event possible in the first place. His mother created in him the foe she so desperately sought to fight and defeat. She betrayed the one person she should have loved unconditionally, and he never really recovered from it.

She created her own enemy by going on about her enemy constantly, and in children especially that's a horrible thing to do. For a girl it would create another man hating woman., and in his case, he became what his mother hated.

An amazing article. I can relate to a lot of the sentiments being expressed. I was raised in a similar situation, though my mother wasn't a prolific feminist. I was still told that my father never loved me, and that men cause all the problems.

With so many single mothers these days, why aren't any feminists asking why there is so much vitriol when women have the power to make a change for the better?

His examples of her using him as a soundboard also remind me of a couple of relationships I was in. Anything she said was "to get it off her chest" (something to that effect, or "sharing feelings"), though if I want to discuss things that bother me, I'm dramatic.

I guess, to some women, having feelings is something only women can do :/ bogus.

I'd like to know more about this. Who was he addressing, specifically? Did they ever reply? Was this covered in the Dutch media?

All in all, a very insightful piece which addresses the heart of the personal harms feminism can cause, and give great perspective on the reasons for many men's animosity toward feminism as an institution.

Homeboy's mother has BPD. I'd be willing to bet that every single other feminist idealogue does too. I know because mine acted the same fucking way and had BPD. I'd really like a look at their diagnosis and prescription histories.

For those curious as to whether feminists hate all men, this answers that question. They hate us all because we dare to exist. It matters not if we have done anything to them or if we are kin to them. We are, therefore we are to be hated. It doesn't matter who we are or what we do, all that matters to them is what we are.
