The policy of Kristina Schröder must be seen as a move in the right direction. But before declaring Germany as men's rights paradise, consider these points complementing the article:

The official name for the "Family Ministry" is still called "Federal Ministry for Family, Elderly, Women and Youth". It is astonishing what efforts are taken just to exclude men.
Family law is rigged against men, probably just like where you currently live. See e.g. this article about Meo-Micaela Hahne. She is cited having said "Someone who has children shares his last shirt with them" what in German comes very close to "Someone who has children is taken to the cleaner's"
When it comes to Girl's Day and Boy's Day that are mentioned in the article: These are brainwashing events designed to "awaken interest" to STEM fields in girls and to social vocations in boys.
There are laws for mandatory women quotas for supervisory boards still pending in the legislative process.

All in all, there is a very strong and politically networked feminist movement in Germany. But your help to re-establish a balance in gender politics would of course be greatly appreciated.

[EDIT] And as I just heard the "Neue Richter Vereinigung - Zusammenschluss von Richterinnen und Richtern, Staatsanwältinnen und Staatsanwälten" (translates roughly to: New Judges Union - A Union of female Judges and Judges, of female state prosecutors and state prosecutors) wants a women quota in the election of judges.
