sinfest and feminism

Sinfest was always pro-feminist. He has this whole Sisterhood thing as a recurring theme, and literally three of the first twelve comics he ever made were ridiculing the men's rights movement.

I never really found Sinfest interesting so I don't care greatly, but it's always sad to see someone regurgitate feminist dogma for brownie points from the politically correct. If people must preachy, I'd much prefer them to have something insightful to add (or at least be somewhat funny about it).

This is second wave making the same argument mras are making against third wave feminism - that they are teh patriarchy.

Gail Dines talks about it here if anyones interested, long but very interesting. She is talking about how third wave feminism is really a conservative capitalist ideology, very individualistic, very consumerist etc...

Yeah I dropped off sinfest when he got all preachy about feminism.

Plus 'nique is a the perfect example of a feminist snowflake.

Wants all the attention, and to be center of the world, without working for it.

I thought it was making that old "not all feminists are like that" sort of excuse, here portraying "3rd wave" feminism as hip and cool and not anti-male or anti-sex as compared to bad "2nd wave" feminism.
