How do you respond to critics who accuse you of 21st-century stereotyping in your portrayal of women as organised go-getters and men as lazy, unambitious couch potatoes?

I actually think that is a fair criticism

I like how she blatantly accepts she is sexist, accepts the wage gap is kind of false but it's still men's fault for setting up the system, basically her book is a sensationalist title and that's about it

Here is what this heartless and cruel feminist has to say about her son Jacob:

He is offended by the book. I wish I could show you the notes that he puts on my attic door. It is very hard to explain to a nine-year-old what I mean by "the end of men", and what the positive elements are for men such as him who are likely to be college-educated and come from resourceful families. A lot of this is likely to be better for them: removing the burden of bread-winning, making it possible for him when he is older to date a woman who makes more money than him and that not being a big deal, being able to be a more involved father and that not being a big deal. However, at this moment the actual title of the book is very hard on his ears.

I really have no words.

I feel really sorry for her son, alot of feminists espouse this end of men theories and patriarchy nonsense without a thought of how it affects young men and boys growing up. The end of men has harmed her childs psyche, I wonder if the failings of boys throughout education is connected to the constant male bashing in modern culture.

"In many respects our country is still stuck in 1962, as far as women in the workforce are concerned; we don't even have proper paid maternity leave in the US. As for men, they have ranged from being angry to deeply appreciative and more than happy to get the burden of being the breadwinner off their back." Don't even know how to respond to this ridiculous claim. It is so wrong it hurts... AND WHY SHOULD ANYONE GET PAID LEAVE FOR HAVING A CHILD!?!

Sorry, this kind of filth is the stuff I have to deal with with some of my friends, and I'm just sick of their hypocrisy... where is the pushing for paternity leave.

Why the unqualified hate for this woman?

She doesn't seem impervious to reason; she openly admits that the wage-gap is tiny, and that the picture she paints of men as “lazy, unambitious couch potatoes” is an unfair stereotype. Her analysis that men are falling behind in schools and the job market is based on actual facts, not feminist dogma, and corroborates the narrative of this subreddit, which says that men are not a privileged class in society.

There are probably many points where one could reasonably disagree with her, but on the whole, she doesn't seem to fit the man-hating feminist-stereotype. Don't we have bigger fish to fry?
