My son's mom took him across country at two weeks old. I contacted my lawyer and he set up all the papers to have her served the minute i knew she was back in town. Two weeks later when she showed up i had a friend show up at her apartment and he just handed her the papers. From that point on it was a custody battle that i eventually won after three years. All i did was consistently be and portray myself as the responsible adult i am and the courts soon recognized my son's mom was crazy to not want me to have 50% custody (Her agruments against custody involved me getting involved with other women and how she would never accept such a situation)((We were never officially together, she spermjacked me after she swore a thousand times she was on birth control)).

Point is. Be truthful and sincere in court and never back down from what you will accept for custody. For some reason you need a lawyer for this (i found myself talking down my own lawyer and changing his position on some things), but then again there is all the legal bullshit that is made explicitly so the public will need lawyers to comprehend it so there is that.

Where do you live? What state, or country?

Are they truly missing, or just won't let you have visitation?

If they are missing, how is it you are paying child support? Who is cashing the checks?
