Something similar happened to my uncle. In his case, he was married to the renowned golddigger for about four years, had no kids with her, yet somehow she made off with our grandfather's house with its small farm. He was already a dentist with a successful practice, she didn't do shit other than spend his money, run up his credit cards, embezzle, and always make a point to let people know what a gerrrrrd christian she was. Watch out for those "goooood" christians.

Lot of fond memories of that place.

Don't get me wrong, the court should not have allowed her to win this property. But, I was just reading a post about a man that was giving up dating to avoid situations like this and everyone was praising him. This isn't directed at the man in the OP, but when you get married, you gotta know who you're marrying, or you could very well end up getting screwed, no matter what gender.

In all honesty there's not enough to go on. It's not at all clear from the article if this land was in the husband's family for more generations (a family farm) or if this was a joint purchase made after the marriage.
