Games that teach people what it is like to experience oppression. We need more things like that.

I was originally wanting to do something similar to this, actually. My spin would have been a hybrid-style game where picking your gender at the start had a noticeable impact on the gameplay.

Platform Stage: Get through work without dying (for men) or being sexually harassed (for women.)

Males have to collect 60 pieces of paperwork, carefully jumping across perilous pits and without exceeding the time limit. One death = game over.
Women have to collect 40 pieces of paperwork, without once being told a joke or asked an innocent question. If they don't complete the task in the generous time limit, they can come back the next day to finish.

Sidescroller Stage: Get home from work without raping (for men) or being raped (for women.)

For men, the challenge would be staying in well-lit, well-populated, preferably camera secured regions. Even then, make sure you don't walk behind any females or cross paths with them, if you want to beat this level and score highly.

For women, the task is to get home. At your leisure.

Beat-Em-Up Stage: BONUS! Oh no, your your spouse is angry! Survive the brutal onslaught!

For men, the objective is to dodge flying objects and backpedal into a corner instead of fighting off the female's attacks. Once in the corner, you are allowed to ball up, negating some damage. Survive for ten minutes before the cops arrive!

For women, the objective is to either win the fight with the tools available, or get hit once. Survive for two minutes before the cops arrive!

Economy Simulator Stage: Oh no, you've been fired from work for social reasons that may or not include the domestic abuse allegations against you!

Male: Explore the apartment for things you can barter off, making sure to scrounge enough money to pay the rent, utilities, child support, lawyer fees, and (if lucky) have enough left over for food.

Female: Sign up for various woman victim programs. If feeling vindictive, scour the apartment for things he left that you can sell. Bonus points if you have enough left over for luxuries! (But if you don't, just use the child support money. Win-win!)

Role-Playing Stage: Your case somehow failed! You are now in lockup for domestic abuse!

Male: Fight hard and collect various items of power (The Holy Shiv, for example) in order to survive your 5-10 year prison sentence! Enjoy the fully fleshed out economy and trade favors to make your term bearable. Avoid rapists.

Female: Struggle hard not to leave the state for your two years of probationary arrest, at least until you've served the three month minimum.

The womyn gonna hack, and they'll have government funding and government resources to do so. You can't really win, so why try.
