I've been lurking around MRM websites (including this one), and I've realized that we're falling into the same kinds of traps that feminism did. Specifically, that much of what we talk about is informed primarily through anecdotal evidence and emotional reasoning. While there certainly is a place for those in discussions, I think that providing actual studies can help us go further, and not turn our opinions into the absolute mess that is feminist theory. We really need to be focusing on correcting ourselves when we make claims that are not backed up by evidence, so that we can call out others doing the same and avoid turning the MRM into a big circlejerk. We already have a bad reputation as a group of misogynists, so focusing on making our message promote studies like [this](http://www.consad.com/content/reports /Gender%20Wage%20Gap%20Final%20Report.pdf) seems like a far more effective way to show that we're serious, and not an uninsormed group of hatemongers.

tl;dr We need to focus on promoting evidence of out positions, not just meaningless conjecture.
