You have to learn to walk before you can run, dude. You can't just "become a leader" in a group if you don't even understand what it is that brings people together. People look to leaders to make decisions for the group - How can you make good decisions if you can't yet understand what people would even want?

For the sake of a hypothetical, however, I'd say you'd have a lot more luck integrating into an already existing group than trying to form a new one. (Groups happen organically based on individual attraction and shared interests; organically forming one yourself would require you to individually befriend and integrate each person into the group yourself.)

So... Locate a group of people that look interesting and compatible with you. I'd try to aim at fitness, since your other listed interests aren't really "team sports" that social circles can form around. Find Meetup Groups for biking or hiking or bouldering, show up, and behave in a way that's receptive and supportive of the other members. If they behave receptively and supportively back, you've probably got a good group. If they don't, bail after the first meeting and never return. Wasting your time herding cats in a disorganized group will just wear you out.
