So I was watching The Voice tonight when the finalist on Adam Levine's team sang "99 Problems" by Jay-Z. He made it into a Folk/Bluegrass song and it was pretty amazing, but as he didn't want to lose any la of his fan base in this critical junction, he sang "I've got 99 problems but a b____ ain't one."

He finished the song to a huge applause, and the judges (CeeLo Green, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton) and they had nothing but amazing things to say.....except for Christina.

She did not say anything about his voice or performance, she merely stated that "The song was very derogatory."

That's it.

When she was done with her one sentence review, they asked his coach Adam what he thought of the performance. He then went on to address Christina's false and sexist accusation.. He began to tell everyone how his singer and him had discussed the undertones of this song for over 2 hours the previous week, and that the song was not about Women, and when he hit that part, Christina interrupted him and said, "The lyrics say 'If you're having girl problems, I feel bad for you son.' Girl problems, Adam." He then retorted, "It's a metaphor, Christina. The song is about negative life issues."

After people applauded this retort, we thought the situation finished...but of course it wasn't.

After Christina's singer finished his performance..she actually went onstage and told everyone that her singer was the best remaining, and that he "was the one that knew how to treat a lady properly."

I just thought it was outrageous that on national television, she could so blatantly claim that Adam Levine and his singer were sexist men simply based off of the song he sang. Outrageous.
