There's a movement and appropriate subreddit for this (gender egalitarianism, /r/egalitarianism), but it's not terribly popular. The current status quo is that Feminism is the dominant ideology in gender, and as much as I'll get downvoted to hell for saying it, the Men's Rights Movement is, in its current stage, not much more than a reactionary movement. That's not to say it has invalid issues, but it doesn't play a very prominent political role. I think for egalitarianism to be properly established, Feminism would need to be considerably less mainstream, which I don't see happening in the near future.

True, but I'm not sure the MRM as a whole is arguing their issues are more unfair, except that their issues aren't taken as seriously as women's issues.

Like what? Too much funding for breast cancer? Too many shelters for abused women? Too many women not dying from working in coal mines? Was female genital mutilation legalized again? Suicide rates a little too low?

Oh I know, you're getting the choice of free birth control and abortion taken away from you in some states and possibly everywhere depending on who gets elected. Well you did say feminism is about being a man's equal, now you will have the same choices and lack of reproductive rights we do.

Trust me, you don't want to be a man's equal. You wouldn't last one day being a disposable utility, potential rapist, potential child molester, etc.

There is /r/Egalitarian and /r/Egalitarianism.

You are free to post there. The most people it has, the more popular it will become.

If /r/equality and /r/feminisms were conducive to discussing both male and female issues, /r/MensRights would not exist.

Many, many people have tried to make /r/equality live up to its name and failed.

That would be brilliant... if it had a name people looked up. As it stands people either look up the word feminism or mensrights.

Now post this in r/feminism. Tell them to start being a gender egalitarian forum rather than one focused on women's issues.
