Privately message her asking her why she feels that way about children and their fathers. Calling her out publicly might feel better, but it will make her act defensively. Be polite, but insistent on her explanation. If you confront her on her photo, she will most likely simply block you/delete the exchange, and never change her views.

Ask her what responsibilities a father has for a child. Ask her what responsibilities a mother has. Ask her how she thinks the labour of parenting should be split up, with this in mind. Ask her if she believes women are better parents that men. Ask her if she thinks her father had any influence on her life.

This made me sick to my stomach, especially because I am going through that same exact thing.

Don't feel bad. Just know that one day your child/children will grow up and see things like that. Save it on a thumbdrive to give to them, and they can see for themselves who the good parent is and who was just using them to collect a paycheck.

I actually don't have a problem with the sentiment in and of itself — i.e., deadbeat dads denied full custody rights, made to pay child support.

The problem is that deadbeat moms don't receive the same treatment. If by some statistical miracle the father is awarded custody of his children, the mother almost certainly won't have to pay him child support.

Society treats men as money dispensers for women and children. In other news, water still wet, story at 11.
