There is no legitimate reason for this to happen even for a short period of time. If the state wants to keep someone accustomed to a certain lifestyle, it should be the state's responsibility. What if I decide to get a job and my boss decides to fire me? In my mind these situations are analogous. State sponsored subsidy for a period of time relative to terms of employment. Is it time to start charging a marriage tax? What a crock of shit.

My recommendation is never submit yourself to their (the govts) corrupt and sexist system of marriage, you may as well put a noose around your neck courtesy of the govt and civil courts. Just make a deal between you and your wife, or if need be do it in common law. If you need more than that perhaps there is something more wrong with your relationship in the first place.

Individuals do not need permission to get married, it is our right to contract, choosing to get married by their rules you agree to their terms and their contracts.

Here's a video of this guy talking about it. http://www.joeiannicelli.com/ He didn't say much of anything about his ex-wife. Only the judge/attorney.

I want to add that I don't see any details of how the alimony is set up. He's in trouble for arrears. Okay, but from when? I'm not seeing anything that states he's been having to pay alimony every year for 38 years. Just that he's been divorced that long, and he's in arrears.

The video states that the alimony was litigated 6 times by 3 different judges, where he wasn't found in contempt, because the ex-wife violated the divorce decree. So, by three different judges' decisions, he shouldn't have to pay it. What he's dealing with now is a specific judge (mother), and attorney (son of judge), who can benefit financially from him. They have the power to manipulate the system, and the people in it.

I see this as a case of corruption, not a men's rights case.
