I know FDS is generally anti-OLD, but since I've been in lockdown and never really have any dating experience I decided to try it Bumble around last year. It was okay at first, but the more I see the guys there, the more I get turned off by them. I found the courage to message one guy that seemed okay and we chatted for only a week before the conversation naturally died down (I stopped replying, and he didn't really message after anyway). We mostly talked about our education and places we've been to, favorite shows and music, our political beliefs. But nothing really too personal. I don't even know if his profile name was his real one. He was a lot friendlier and forward than I am which made me panic as an introvert.

And that was the extent of my experience on OLD. I don't like the idea of working towards a date or an attraction. It felt like forcing an outcome, regardless if I thought the guy was okay or not.

I still want to meet guys naturally, establish a rapport from the start and then things would take off from there. I'm perfectly happy being single now and have definitely focused on myself first, but sometimes FOMO gets to me and I find myself wanting to be on OLD again. But I'm just too uncomfortable talking to strangers.
