Yes. I’m only on IG and I only download it to post photos of travel. That measure has helped me immensely in terms of my emotional health, my FOMO, my idea of what women’s bodies look like, my acceptance that I have a really great life (even if I don’t travel full time like other people).
I only post travel pics, family pics, or pics of my dogs. I do not post full body pics unless I’m covering myself, I don’t post anything I wouldn’t want an employer seeing basically.
And I have a TON of tattoos, and almost always wear teeny tops and daisy dukes in the summer. Honestly I’m most comfortable being naked and in the sun. And I def wear less clothes than the avg woman. But I only post pics of myself I’d think most managers wouldn’t be surprised by... or think that you partied every weekend if you posted.
Even though I’m most comfortable in crop tops and daisy dukes, I know how men view women for wearing them. I want male prospects and employers to view me as a hardline, female CEO, who doesn’t take shit.

Like @luvmyvulvaxoxo I have a ton of tattoos, this gets me attention I didn’t consider when I got them, not that I regret them. I also dress in quite revealing clothing in the summer because I’m active and well, fuck it, I love the way I look. On ig tho I do not do the poses or revealing type things many do. I have maybe one pic of myself in a bathing suit on a nice boat but my booty isn’t featured or anything.
I’m a writer, so I work for myself and my hobby is roller skating. I look hot doing my hobby and the community is amazing. I usually don’t get weird messages, the skate community is really wholesome somehow.
I think this type of thing is subjective to what you are doing in your life. I’m not looking for an employer but if I was, my ig would just basically show I have tattoos, travel a whole hell of a lot, skate and have friends who are prof Photographers.
Im 35, I like being pretty and I’ve worked hard for it. I’m not afraid to show it while being bad ass at my hobby. HOWEVER! I’m not being the woman who is sticking my booty out and I never shop or tune my photos.
I enjoy ig and that’s ok. It’s also really toxic most of the time. I feel lucky it hasn’t been in my life very much. But I can’t lie and say I don’t wish I was thinner or better in some ways because of it.
Our “look at me” culture Isn’t good for us, but I participate in it, in some ways because I like to show my outfits or my talent in my hobby.
