Child soldiers is a huge one.

Any organization fighting the use of child soldiers around the world is, in essence, taking up a Men and boys rights issues, even if its not in their 'branding'.

India and Mexico have their own men's rights movements actually.

It's hard enough fighting on our front door though.

I'm sure there's a desire to help men everywhere if we could but the most I've seen are national groups like CAFE, NCFM, J4MB, etc.

The NCFM has done some stuff in third world countries but I'm not sure what the scope of that is. A quick look shows that they're involved in Africa with circumcision.

Men's sheds are international but they're more of a community thing instead of an advocacy thing.

World wide problems for men and boys include:

Undernourishment. IIRC WHO found more boys than girls are undernourished.

Modern slavery. EG men who go to a different country to work and then the employer takes their passport and and uses other tactics basically keeps them prisoner.

Sexual abuse of boys and other sexual victimisation of men

Life expectancy

Discrimination in the application of foreign aid

Yeah I have read pretty horrible shit about men's situation in poor countries (horrible conscription, more rough sleepers, suicide, drug, criminality, etc.)

Another commenter already briefly mentioned it but sexual violence against men and boys in conflict-affected areas is a big one that really doesn’t get the attention and resources it deserves. The UNHCR recently published a report on it in relation to Syria, and there are some books focusing on a few African conflict areas. In many cases it’s basically the same problem women face, but the male victims are turned away from NGOs or government departments that are meant to assistant victims of sexual violence. Male victims in these countries are also often forced to keep silent due to the familial, societal, and/or reputational ramifications that would come if they reveal they had been sexually abused by soldiers. Really tragic stories.

Not quite third world, but it does get pretty shitty in Russia. Conscription and brutal hazing in the army, extremely strict gender roles in pretty much every aspect of life with some pretty severe punishments for failing to be masculine enough. In recent years there's been lively debate in favor of bringing back the (male only) bachelor tax. LGBT men on top of that have to deal with vigilantes targeting them and law enforcement turning a blind eye if not outright helping them.

I just decided to do an experiment. I Googled "charities helping ___ in developing countries."

I did this for "men", "women" and "children".

For the latter search terms, I got loads of results.

For men, I got nothing. Well, thats not true. I got charities helping people in general in developing countries. I also got a list of 'five charities helping women in developing countries' but nothing for men.

I don't think there even are any male focused charities like this. Why? My suspicion is it just wouldn't raise enough money to do that. People don't care about men, except with regard to how they relate to women and children.

I agree. I admit I tend to not focus on this enough, partially because all the charity work focuses on women so it's hard to even donate to helping men.
