I feel that even most parents do not love their children unconditionally. They will treat their children who are sucessful better than their failed broods. Most of them will still be there for the failed ones, even more intensely sometimes, but everyone know and feel which kid(s) got the parents' validations, love and approvals more. The one that brings things to the table.

I think there are equally or even more women that care for their disabled husbands…. Don’t know for sure but I think women are more likely to give up their comfort for men than the other way around, tho of course there are many men who do this too

Dogs love their owners unconditionally regardless of gender. Kids love their parents unconditionally until puberty. In general, adult humans do not love other adult humans unconditionally.

I think "unconditionally" is a ridiculous thing to expect as an adult. Like, no matter what happens, ever, you expect to be loved, under any condition?

i wouldnt say women are loved unconditionally, there is definitely bias to treat them nicer in some ways (and not nicely in others). women are still expected to bring something to the table, usually their looks and their bodies. i bet a woman with no make-up wearing joggers with her hair in a bun will find it hard to find unconditional love

however in regards to 'men are only loved under the condition they provide something' is by-and-large very true. society dictates that a man is only useful when hes making money or babies or just doing something useful to someone/something else

an example would be the rare compliments given to men. ive been complimented before by acquaintances and strangers and theyre always about something in my control, like the way i dress or some work ive done. Ive only ever ONCE been complimented on my physicality, for just being me, whereas for women i imagine it is the opposite end

I think this tells us more about Chris Rock internals than society.

Anything can be true from a certain point of view.

From my perspective, it sounds more cliche than particularly reflected. I get what he's trying to say, it just seems a little basic to me.

I don't like this quote. All human love is typically conditional. Sure, you can love people with like the spiritual sense of "we're all mankind," but all relationships are conditional and transactional. If your wife burns your house down and laughs about it, would you still love her? If your parents continuously harass you and refuse to ever apologize, would you still love them? Probably not. Hell, even redpill men talk about loving women provided that they submit and play the traditional role.
