I'm trying to save two, but I'm close to giving up because they don't seem to want to be helped. They're too brainwashed by society and helping them directly seems like a waste of time at this point. The best I can do is live my own life on my own terms and set a good example.

It’s okay to set boundaries if this hurts you. It’s okay to have man free days. Or just listen and give no advice, because you know any advice you give won’t be used. And it’s okay to fade out of people’s lives.

But yes it is very rough to see people hurt themselves when you know how it could be fixed.

I recently cut off my best friend of 20 years because of pick me behavior. The guy is 100% negative value. Abandoned his child, drug user, cheated with my friend and on my friend and the list goes on. It became too much for me, I couldn’t watch it anymore. You have to take care of yourself first.

I have been successful with 1 pickme in my life, but with limited results.

She initiates contact, agrees to go dutch on dates, and engages in "what about the man? WHOS THINKING ABOUT THE MAN" mental gymnastics.

She also fucks them on the first date and then soaks my shoulders with her tears when they never call or text her back ever again.

Here's what worked: Telling her what was going to happen and how things were going to unfold from the moment she discusses her "dates" with me. When it comes to pass, and she's inevitably crying, drinking, and vomitting on my bathroom floor, I tell her it's okay, it's not her, its these men, and they're playing this "game" and FDS principles simply teach us the basics of the game, and how to be a master player of it. We did NOT invent this game. We're mere players in it, regardless of how much we "don't" want to play. Us not wanting to play this "game" doesn't mean we'll be "spared" from having it being played on us.

Nevertheless, she still goes on and on with her PICKMEISM the very next time some shiny, hot, new guy walks into her life. I tell her again what she needs to be doing (being less invested, insisting that he pay for their dates, dating multiple guys at once, and making them wait for sex.... and vetting them THOROUGHLY... OR, if I identify him as a LVM/NVM, I tell her to ghost him because [insert how the situation will likely play out here.])

But I will say this. With each new "guy", she's making less and less mistakes. This is just ONE pickme in my life.

I have another PICKME who refuses to listen to my dating advice. She's engaged to a NVM champion, a true bottom-of-the-barrel piece of shit guy... when I tried to point out the red flags I saw, she doubled down on her relationship, accepted his engagement for marriage, AND bought a house with him BEFORE getting married. Her wedding date's been "postponed" due to COVID, but I don't think he's going to marry her. I think he's going to leave her at the altar, and either lock her out of her own house, or abandon the property, leaving her with a mortgage she can't afford on her own.

her fiance isn't even hot!! He's an UGLY, balding, older man (8 years older than her) BARELY-EMPLOYED (making about $11.00 / hour at a bottom of the barrel shit job. She out-earns him. He fetishizes girls as young as 11 and has a youth fetish, which she's quickly aging out of. He met her when she was 16 and he was 24. She almost dropped out of high school because of this idiot, and HE'S NOT EVEN SEXY. He's like a 2 / 10, and he's a fat perverted piece of shit to boot.

but "he already took her virginity" and she's 100% bought into the "idea" that women's value expires once a man takes her virginity and she feels obligated to marry the first guy she's fucked. So THAT'S going to be fun to deal with when he leaves her for another 14 year old girl.

I can see it coming a mile away. This is going to blow up in her face, and I'm legitimately worried that she's going to kill herself when it does. She's dug in her heels and embraced PICKMEISM and redpilled ideology with an iron fist and she's about to turn 30 in February, and the midlife crisis is already looming. SIGH...
