We shouldn't be giving government and public sector jobs to women simply because they're women. (I'm not saying we shouldn't have women in those jobs but they can't just get the job for being a woman and not having any other qualities.) We should be giving them to qualified people, otherwise it can get nasty.

They are setting up path for generations of unmarried men because India specially has a custom in which parents forbid their daughter to settle down with a guy who earn less than you and society looks down on you for not retaining a good working husband. In western countries, finding a guy who earn more than you is no different but in India it's not a choice, it's a rule.

I was opening a bank account last week and explored five different banks and all of them had special "women savings accounts" which give more interest, lower charges, etc.

Makes it obvious which gender is paying extra to make these kind of deductions possible

Equal opportunities are no longer a thing. A quota system leads to worse outcomes as quotas trump merits.

Western societies keep going down with marriage rates and fertility rates at all time rock bottom and decreasing. Immigration saves the day.

Families were the greatest motivation for men to provide and protect. Without families this development driver is gone and men simply do their own thing for themselves.

It's a pity India follows Western Countries suit. Surprisingly China's communist party keeps society fabric intact aiming for 2+2 families model.

It is interesting to observe which social system delivers better outcomes in the long run - the modern Western or Chinese.

Just sit back and watch it burn. It can't support it's self much longer. China will become the world power and will look down on us as we will be weak. At the same time they will destroy the earth faster and faster. I expect the next 100 years will put us back a few thousand years and we will have to start all over again (if enough survive that is). Finally. I'm friggin vexed with these issues pertaining in india. And the sad part is extremely few people in my social circle of any social circle for that matter have the ability to even understand what's happening on a whole in India. Not only are we openly saying that your birth place/type matter wayy mire that literally everything else you do in your life (merit) but everyone actually acting like they achieved something huge that will revolutionize the world. It sure friggin will revolutionize the world and we eill fall into a a big crisis where Nothin is working anymore. Let me tell you s real story if what happened regarding domestic violence. A uncle if mine (I say uncle of mine went to police station regarding violence at home stating his wife was hitting him and using verbal abuse against him and his parents. The police literally to his face said we are sorry but we cannot register a case against the wife with domestic violence and icing on top is even if the wife hurts her hand while hitting the husband and she shows it as proof that he is hitting her the without requiring any other evidence they can lock him up. Sad thing is they believed him. They said we know and we understand but we are helpless and suggested him to divorce her with as much evidence as possible because nothing can be done against her. this happened 6-7 years ago and things have only gotten worse here.

The biggest problem is that most of the laws that favor women are written many decades ago where women were infact oppressed and needed help. But now if anything women have more status than men but the laws still remain unchanged. To make matters worse even if you are not married india has also passed laws regarding live in relationship and let me warn youu before hand they are not much different than marriage laws where in case if seperation the women will still get much favorable treatment and better half of assets than the man.

First you have to understand that nobody is saying Indian women are oppressed by the state because that's not true, but Indian women are in fact oppressed by out society, just because our constitution says men and women are equal doesn't mean women get treated equally. Like murder is illegal according to our constitution, yet thousands are murdered every year. Making something illegal doesn't stop it.

If women weren't actual oppressed in Indian then women participation in almost everything would around 50%.

On top of that, they are also pushing for a bill to reserve 33% of seats in the parliament for women

Men have 87.3% percent parliament seats despite making up only 50% population source. This isn't because women are lazy or not interested in politics, this is because patriarchy.

I went to a website where you can donate money to charity and even they had special girls & women programs.

Because being homeless as a women is much more dangerous than being homeless as a man.

This is false, literacy rate for men is 84% but 70% for women which means more number girls than boys don't attend school. The reason you don't see more girls doing child labour is that usually they're doing housework, number of girls quitting or not even going to school so that they can do household work is way higher than young boys working. You must be from a upper middle class family because this stuff is common knowledge to most Indians.

The entire fucking society is designed to help men and oppress women, government not having policies to help men only isn't oppression. Government policies and power dynamics in society are very different things. Government having policies to help men only is like giving free food to billionaires (before you misinterpret it, I know poor men exist too, but policies only helping poor men makes no sense but policies helping only poor women make sense because our society is more oppressive to them).

How am I supposed to take the whole "India is a patriarchy" and "women are strong, brave, independent and equal to men!" narrative seriously which feminists are always screaming about when women enjoy special privileges at everything and are treated with extra care as if they are children.

Get out of your bubble and look at the reality for once. Because they're already at a disadvantage due to patriarchal nature of our society, the competition isn't fair at all, reservations help the competition make more fair. Edit:
