EDIT: I downloaded the podcast and went right to “minute 14.” First time I’d ever heard of the podcast. The “‘mmm.’ ‘ok.” Made my eyes go WIDE and I knew that I was in for a treat. Y’all articulated it better than I ever could. Bless.

Is this because of the conservative guest Elle? She specifically said she was pro abortion.

To be fair she wasn’t very specific about how she is conservative. From listening to her, I got more libertarian vibes than anything else.

This response seems a little... extreme. This wasn't my favorite episode either but I didn't get the impression that Elle was against women having the right to vote. It wasn't clear what her stance on abortion is. If she's pro-life that would be a dealbreaker to me.

I loved the podcast. Elle was well spoken and she gave her backstory so we'd have a better insight into how she was socialized to believe in certain things. She is open to hearing the mods perspectives. I don't get the feeling that this is a political podcast in let's debate the policy and election, but rather a podcast that focuses on the conditioning you received through childhood and school and how that shaped you and how you were led to believe in the Disney fairytale but all for different reasons.

I also like that all the hosts and Elle were open to reflection and talked about how they had had a change of perspective and (from the open discussion) were willing to see the other's and are open to future changes in perspective!

We do so much growing at different points in our lives, I think if you agree with nothing said: agree with the example the ladies are setting for us to open a line of discussion with the women in our lives.
