Has this article seen white women?

[–]Chudsaviet 21 points22 points23 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"I'm not suggesting we start racially profiling White men." -> "There's nothing more frightening in America today than an angry White man"
Oh, ok, you are not starting to profile me.

[–]alclarkey 28 points29 points30 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hey CNN, the term "Thug" has been used for centuries, maybe even millenia, long before any white people had ever met a black man. It applies to all races/sexes/creeds/sexual orientations and gender identities. You run around threatening people, throwing molotov cocktails, boss people around whom you have no authority over I'm going to call you a thug.

[–]Phandroid1991 28 points29 points30 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Well, as a brown man, I find people find me frightening.

Joke aside, I fail to see how these posts about "white men" are acceptable. They're fundamentally racist and sexist, yet no one bats an eyelid.

[–]Patches0h00lihan 18 points19 points20 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This stuff seems to come, at least in pretty large part, from freaking white people. Some kind of virtue signal? I've never understood it. Was sincerely told by my ex once to "shut my white mouth" when I raised the point that anti-any race rhetoric is fundamentally racist, including but not limited to anti-white rhetoric. She's German/English, born and raised in America. And she's called "ex" for a reason.

[–]lupuscapabilis 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I’m a white guy. Grew up in queens Nyc, literally the most diverse place in the world. I’ve had more friends of all races and colors than you could imagine. And somehow it’s always the white dude from Idaho who has spent his life surrounded by other white dudes that wants to explain race to me.

[–]tenchineuro 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

So what makes you an expert?

What you just said was literally a meme from the 1970s, some of your best friends are black. But you're not talking about them, are you?

[–]uncleoce 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Liberals. Liberals are why these thoughts are acceptable.

[–]aigars2 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Reads as racism.

[–]Ok-Efficiency1842 28 points29 points30 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Because it's angry white men who get men fired and canceled. Yeah, that's it. That's why an angry mob tried to attack a Supreme Court Nomine and faced no repercussions.

It was just a group of angry white men. It was also a group of angry men who got Johnny Depp ostracized from Hollywood despite him doing nothing wrong.

Yep, they're the "real" problem in America.

[–]tenchineuro 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I hope you were being sarcastic.

[–]antifeminist3 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Here is one more example of the media basically indirectly advocating for discrimination by vilifying white men. Do you really thinking that successfully getting people to vilify a group of men will not cause people to discriminate? No, that is how you get discrimination.

[–]Algoresball 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’ve never hurt anyone and never will, If someone is afraid of me, that’s their problem. Just like its my problem if I’m afraid of a random black man because of his race.

[–]jhld 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You can trace every bit of current strife to American news media. They are pot stirrers, race baiters and riot mongers.

[–]Angryasfk 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]tenchineuro 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

She may need to visit an optometrist!

Just kidding. But maybe a sarcasm tag would help, add an /s after the text.

[–]Fatjesus1-1 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Haha you’re good 😂😂

[–]tenchineuro 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Really though, I avoid mirrors too, but it's hard to shave without one so I'm probably suffering from PTSD.

And really, it's not a good idea to let your wife know about your gf, except in porn videos. :-)

This article is right. That's why the CIA is composed mostly by angry white men

[–]tenchineuro 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Please post the racial stats of the CIA.

[–]BrazilBrother 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

https://www.zippia.com/cia-agent-jobs/demographics

"White, 73.0%

Hispanic or Latino, 11.6%

Black or African American, 9.2%

Asian, 2.8%

Unknown, 2.7%

American Indian and Alaska Native, 0.7%"

I found this literally in the first page of Google.

[–]tenchineuro 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

  • That's why the CIA is composed mostly by angry white men

This is what I asked you to show.

  • "White, 73.0%

This shows nothing of the sort.

Any measure of anger is missing.

And it could be fucking 73% white women.

You seem to be a idiot feminist who hates white men and who has no fucking idea what he or she is reading. And that's giving you the benefit of the doubt.

[–]BrazilBrother 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Any measure of anger is missing.

But you didn't ask for any kind of measure of this regard, and people who are passing by your comment can easily verify this. LOL

And it could be fucking 73% white women.

No, it couldn't. Is this the part were you get increasingly ilogical/over the top? The same link you just ignored also states the male/female ratio.

You seem to be a idiot feminist who hates white men and who has no fucking idea what he or she is reading. And that's giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Why?! You don't have to be a feminist in order to bash the CIA, the same agency that most likely killed one of your former presidents while he was in a Texas motorcade in '63.

I thought the people had spoken.

[–]coffeeinvenice -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

To a certain extent, this article is not really about men's rights. And frankly speaking, this article doesn't really provide a lot of research or insight; in fact, it's only purpose seems to be to reinforce biases and stereotypes that the reader already has. As the author pointed out, this issue is not about all white men, or even the majority of white men. It's about a minority of people who feel that they are entitled to respond to social and political issues and viewpoints with violence or violent rhetoric. Maybe you don't like Joe Biden or Obamacare, but that doesn't entitle you to assassinate a president or the president's supporters. Maybe BLM marches or graffiti is something you disagree with, but it doesn't entitle you to violate the rights of freedom of speech or freedom of assembly of others.

But again, this is about a vocal and violent minority, and who is to say there isn't just as many females in this vocal and violent minority as there are men? These are people who have little life experience responding positively or reflectively with communities whose shared experience is different from their own.

The MRM and this forum has always been about discussing men's issues, misandry, and men's viewpoints on modern life, and for the years that this forum has been running, it's been about doing so for all men: African-American, Asian-American, British, Indian, gay, transgender, etc., as well as for white heterosexual males.

The most logical and positive way to respond to this article is to invite and engage in discussion with men and boys who have different ethnic backgrounds, and therefore different shared experiences, from one's own. This subreddit has done so for a long time, and I hope it continues to do so.

“There’s nothing more frightening today in America than an angry Black man”

“There is nothing more frightening today in America than an angry Jew”

Would you be writing the same comment?

[–]coffeeinvenice 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I'm sorry but I don't understand your question. Could you elaborate? And what specifically about my comment above prompts you to ask it?

[–]TheEthnicityOfASpoon[S] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Have another read of my comment, then a good think, then see if you get it. The folks who upvoted my comment got it.

Don't overthink it though. It's a simple question.

[–]coffeeinvenice 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

As I said earlier:

To a certain extent, this article is not really about men's rights. And frankly speaking, this article doesn't really provide a lot of research or insight; in fact, it's only purpose seems to be to reinforce biases and stereotypes that the reader already has. As the author pointed out, this issue is not about all white men, or even the majority of white men. It's about a minority of people who feel that they are entitled to respond to social and political issues and viewpoints with violence or violent rhetoric.

How is my statement incorrect?

I also said:

The MRM and this forum has always been about discussing men's issues, misandry, and men's viewpoints on modern life, and for the years that this forum has been running, it's been about doing so for all men: African-American, Asian-American, British, Indian, gay, transgender, etc., as well as for white heterosexual males. The most logical and positive way to respond to this article is to invite and engage in discussion with men and boys who have different ethnic backgrounds, and therefore different shared experiences, from one's own. This subreddit has done so for a long time, and I hope it continues to do so.

And then you asked, "Would you be writing the same comment?" A question which is, frankly, stupid. Why wouldn't I?

I understand you have trouble expressing yourself. You've been trying to form an answer to my question for the last day or so, and you gave up because it was too difficult. And now expect me to do your thinking and speaking for you.

I don't.

I don't have to "get it". There is nothing in life that obligates me to think the same way you do, or do your thinking for you.

So I will turn your question back to you. You're the one who asked the question above - so explain what it means. It's a simple question.

[–]TheEthnicityOfASpoon[S] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Think of it as a Zen Koan. It may take you many lives to realise.

🤡🔫

[–]coffeeinvenice 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Probably fewer lives than it will take you to learn how to express yourself.

I always love it when right-wing MAGA assholes show up on r/mensrights and discover this subreddit is about real issues, not a right-wing echo-chamber.

Now you are starting to understand! 🥰

[–]Angryasfk 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The comment was a racist and sexist screed, that you would have called out if used against black men for example.

And attacks on white men are always an excuse for discrimination against men in general in the US.
