So in our divorce decree my wife insisted on inserting verbiage about attending X number of counseling sessions within 6 months of the divorce finalization. I asked her to exclude this from the decree because A) I feel pretty certain it's completely unenforceable anyways and B) I didn't want to give her any say in WTF I do after the divorce. She insisted, I planned to attend therapy anyhow, so I said fuck it and left it.

Since then I have completed my requisite number of sessions. She has since pushed for our 6yo daughter to go to counseling, which is fine and not something that I can fight against anyhow as it's viewed as a necessary medical expense, I pay for 65% of these appointments per the terms of the divorce decree. She has since informed me that she cannot pay her 35% of these AND also attend therapy herself to meet the verbiage she demanded in the decree.

My question is - is there any upside to being a dickhead and forcing her to attend therapy and fuck her budget even though I'm sure if push came to shove she wouldn't be forced to produce proof of this? Or is this one of those deals where I am better off to just not engage in the fight and move on? I am tending toward the latter just because the divorce is final and I don't give a fuck what she does for herself. I have a feeling her budget will have her at some point making a run at me for more custody and support over some bullshit anyhow, would this play into my favor in any way should we go back to mediation? As it sits now I have 50/50 with her.

I don't give a shit about the small battles if it means ultimately winning the WAR. What angles should I be looking at this from?
