Three dates was always my limit. If it hadn't blossomed by then, it wasn't gonna happen. Your threshold may be different, but at this point you're risking leading him on and that's an ugly thing to do.

Okay here are some questions if you don't mind:

How old are you? Did you date anyone before? Did you love anyone before? What do you like about this guy?

You're not sure how you feel because you don't know him.

Why are you going out with him if you're so uncertain? Are you serious about getting to know him? If you're not, don't waste his time. If you are serious, put in the effort to get to know him and try not to make decisions based on emotions- which it sounds like you're doing.

Attraction is non-negotiable. If you don't feel attraction towards him, let him go. Especially in the new stages. Three dates is not many. For most, the novelty and excitement of a new romantic prospect would bring up some feelings that people often interpret as attraction. If you don't even have that base level of excitement, it's unlikely to develop later.

Secondly, in my experience, people (both men and women) who settle for the person who they think they should be with always end up feeling unfulfilled and like something is missing. And they might go on to cheat, or just leave the person because the attraction never developed.

Rather than feeling guilty about not having a connection, let him go and find someone who you are more compatible with and more attracted to.

Lastly, I always say, no one wants to be with someone because they settled. We all want to feel desired. Men included. And I'm sure there will be other women who have the "spark" with this man. Spending time with someone who you don't see potential with and who you don't have feelings for is also not fair to them.

We all deserve to find someone who truly loves us and desires us. Faking that and putting on a front just because you think he'd be a good partner is manipulative. Faking feelings that aren't there is duping someone.

And I guarantee if you choose to pursue him and continue dating, he's going to feel your hesitation and lack of attraction if/when you kiss and have sex. And sex without any attraction is down right awful and awkward. And I really question why you'd chose that for yourself?

My advice is that the honest and kind thing to do is cut things off. If you don't have a spark or feel the connection and see potential with him now, stop wasting your time and his time.
