A close friend of mine is organising a dinner with a few of her friends, one of whom she’d like to introduce me to. He seems pretty cool and interesting, and I trust her judgement.

While this is not a date, I’d like to practice FDS and see if he’s someone I’d like to get to know more.

Wanted to crowdsource some vetting ideas/ wisdom from you ladies. Here are some things I’ll be looking out for: - talking about exes, how he reacts with female friends - does he mention hobbies or is he too caught up with work - interest in trying new foods - interest in current affairs - interest and enthusiasm in being there - dressing: is he gonna be super casual (we’ll probably all be in work clothes, but does he know how to dress appropriately) - approachable/ cold (I’m ok with someone being shy, taking a while to warm up, rather than someone who is super slick or cold. I do like smiley people) - if he is interested in taking things further, how he initiates — does he rely on friends to get my details or will he be upfront - how he reacts towards me (is he thoughtful, friendly, warm and respectful)

Obviously it’s just a dinner and my goal is to have fun and get to meet some new people. I’m not gonna think too much about it, but as I get older I want to more intentional about people i let into my life.

Feel free to include your own vetting ideas too. Hope you find this helpful in your own endeavors 🥰
