The way I see it, current trends in dating and views about sex in general point to 2 logical conclusions:

  1. A future where we have a bunch of long-ago-checked-out men and a bunch of 30+ year old single women who couldn’t tie down the top-tier men they hooked up with in their 20s, kind of like the losers in a game of musical chairs.

  2. A future where people adapt to the standards we are currently seeing through polygyny. Basically a bunch women agree to share one guy and having multiple wives becomes mainstream for qualifying males.

What scenario do you think is more likely, and more importantly what will it even mean to be a man in such a scenario?

Personally, I think most signs are pointing towards scenario 2. We are already seeing a significant number of men more or less dropping out of dating, higher education, and other social avenues. In this scenario, I think it’s easy to see that non-qualifying men are basically going to become second-class citizens.

What do y’all think? My bad if this doesn’t fit here.
