Most of the time I see it this guys BECOME hyper focused on work and up their AFTER they get together with a women, somethimes after marriages sometimes after they got a baby.

I mean depending on the country it seems not be so hard to outearn the women, here in germany 75% of women earn 2000 Euro (2100 Dollar) and less (after taxes). It's not so hard to outearn them.

Maybe you have so much onlyfans-millionares in the US or because of crazy affermitive action they outearn most man by factor 5. But this "boss babes" at least here in germany are a very very small % of the population.

But what I see is man stepping up because yes women want this guy "driven" but they don't seem to very often choose their sex partner that way, and it's more a you have to become that way.

So I think here hypergamy seems more about status and education level, and people seem to be much more fine to mix a bit more in their younger years at least.

I also think because of the crazy spread of incomes in the US and because you don't have guaranteed health care system there seems in the US nearly onle the 2 options either you are rich or a bum noadays.

But yes I think it's more a wipping inside of LTRs or marriages that makes man suddenly become "driven" at least more into the direction of monetization.

Also we have here much more stay-at-home mothers still, over 40% currently in the US 2016 it was 27%.

I would also expect more german women working part time as mothers and even if both work "full time" that is less hours here and much more hollidays than in the US.
