While the fans might want to see JD back as Captain Jack Sparrow, the bigger question that should be asked is why would he go back and work with organisations who dropped him on nothing more than hearsay evidence from woman with severe mental problems?

I understand that 'It's just business, Johnny' but he was dragged through the mud while every one of his 'friends' in the industry stood by and did nothing.

People should stop with this, I understand that Pirates were great movies and mainly because of Jack Sparrow. However, people should put themselves in the place of JD. If you were Johnny Depp, wouldn't you tell Disney and WB to go fuck themselves?

We should really look at things from JD's perspective. After your employer fucked you over so bad without evidence, would you still go back to them? Don't get me wrong, I wanna see another Pirates movie too, but I think about what Johnny wants as well, and he wouldn't want to go back to the people who fucked his life in the first place.

They can try, but as a male, I'll not be paying to see it. Disney products are in variably feminist in tone. Women are somehow always better, somehow always braver, somehow always stronger. Disney is the "woke' vanguard. A company with all the integrity of a small town crook. Time we as men used our market power and stopped patronising them, taking our kids to see their dross and stopped buying their merchandise.

No, but let's blame Disney on killing the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise instead. That way, Depp still have fans and credibility. Let's be honest, alot of people hate Disney, ranging from ruining star wars to Disney/DeSantis' Florida Bill incident.

I hope Depp sticks to his guns and refuses to do anymore Disney movies. In fact, I wish other actors would boycott working for Disney productions.

In my mind, Disney is as guilty as Heard for denying Depp a role based on hearsay. Studios and employers who deny people work based on unfounded accusations should feel some consequences for doing so.

Why? The later Pirates movies kind of lost it, with Depp and even Geoffrey Rush just mumbling lines while listening to earpieces. They don't want to do it except for the money, and the scripts are no longer any good.

Pirates 1 (and maybe 2 and 3) were good because they were well written. Maybe not Noble Prize good, but they were very funny. The characters had really clear goals, and were trying to outsmart each other to achieve them. And has anyone played the old Curse of Monkey Island games? The universe worked on similar rules (with weird adventure game logic combos being used to solve problems).

The early movies were funny because all the characters were playing the game by different rules (Barbossa was a moustache twirling villain, Will was a young adventurer rescuing a princess, and Jack was in a comedy based on point and click adventure rules) and then the universe would reward Jack because he was the only one who was crazy enough to understand how the crazy movie actually worked.

But after a few movies it ended up just being a bunch of meta jokes about the series.

Whether Disney dropped him due to the claims by heard or the well documented issues with anger, drugs, and alcohol, they are unlikely to work with him again.
