My mom is a hardcore feminist who always praised skinny, sensitive, feminine men as being a new kind of evolved men. She always looked down on everything that is remotely masculine and dismissed them as being cavemen habits/characteristics.

I just got my first gym membership and she tried everything she could to prevent me from doing so.

"Just get on a run a week and you will be fine, you don't even have to try to run extra each time, it's fine, you just have to go for a run and then it doesn't matter whether you run 5 minutes or an hour. And if you don't feel like it don't go...".

Her point was basically that because I'm not a professional athlete, I should only do as much sport as it is necessary to not become obese. She blames everyone who works out and labels them as losers but as soon as she sees a guy with a six pack, you can see her eyes light up. I don't get it.

This mentality of mediocrity is beyond me "don't work out, stay skinny fat...that's what girls love". She gives me so much shit for trying to be something more than an effeminate pussy-whipped mangina. Fuck, I also want to get started in Jiu Jitsu, I can only imagine how much shit she will give me for that.

I've thought about why she acts like that, and here is what I think. My mother raised me to be nothing but a guy who would create ressources (money). But I would be so pussy whipped and so beta that a woman would find me, marry me, and that all the ressources I would earn would be transfered and used by this woman. My mum never taught me how to manage a budget. She was always the one managing the money my father earned, and her mother did the same with my grand father (may he rest in peace). I think she wants me to make money and have a woman managing it for me (stealing it from me really).

That's it. She raised me to be a beta buck, a beta provider, and she doesn't want me to become alpha, because that would be against the feminist agenda.

But if this is the truth, it means that my mother values feminism more than her own son.

How fucked up is that?
