I often see this assumption from women that because men hurt their feelings or break their hearts that must mean that men don't have feelings- it's the only explanation they find logical for why men have hurt them before.

But this belief feels so narrsastic to me. Like these girls think they're protagonists in their own story and that everything is always about them and now they feel. They can even begin to conceptualize that the man that broke up with them did it because he has feelings and needs too. No, it must be because he's an evil villan with no soul trying to ruin her life.

If a women cheats on a man, or ups and leaves him one day, or commits any other selfish act that would hurt the man no one qpukd suggest for a minute that "women must not have feelings". Plenty of men have had out hearts broken by girls but if we were to ever turn to social media to try to do a psychoanalysis of our exes and claim that it's because women don't have feelings and don't experience real love we would be ripped to pieces and immediately accused of being mysogonists. So why is it ok in reverse?

I was just scrolling through tiktok where I saw a video of a girl addressing a recent trend. The trend is basically girls posting pictures of themselves crying to a Taylor Swift song with text on top talking about how a man broke their heart and how it'd altered their behavior. This led a girl to ask, quote, "seeing all these video makes me wonder if we have the same affect on men. If we break their hearts does it do anything? Or do they just move on to the next? I'm fully convinced most men don't have feelings. Idk. If you're a man let me know"

But of course, the comment section wasn't filled with men actually answering. The few answers from men were along the lines of "of course we have feelings". But the vast majority of replies were women answering for us saying that "of course mne dint have feelings", basically throwing pity parties for themselves over it.

Like come on, men and women are not different species. We're all humans, of course we all have emotions. Yes, we communicate differently sometimes. No, men aren't typically going to go on social media to cry about our break ups and traumas. No, that doesn't mean we dint have feelings.

I mean, do women really think this? That we're all just a bunch of horny psychopaths? Because if so that's extremely sad. This is one of the many reasons I'm glad I'm gay, because honestly I don't think I could ever deal with dating someone who really believes that I dint have feelings and that I'm just some shitbag no matter what I do or say. But of course I'm sure women aren't concerned about how their actions and words hurt their partners, evause we're the evil ones, not them, right?
