Hello ladies and gents. New to this but so far I like what I’m reading.

Backstory. Met my husband as a single mom at 21. He’s 9 years older. Sparks and instant connection. First marriage for both of us. All was peachy for the first 3 years.
We went through some bat shit crazy life stuff all while we had our mutual child together. That’s a turning point. He went from being a successful, fun and handsome guy to a depressed couch potato that was blaming everyone around him for what happened. I know now what I did wrong instead of letting him get out of this shit on his own and lead us out I took the rains, got myself a career, provided for the family and totally took over our life course…yes I know dumb and totally screwed us both up.

We’ve been married now for 12 years and in the last decade there were times of putting a bandaid on this bs and getting fake feeling it’s going to be ok but gotten worse and worse as time went on. Sex went from holy shit to duty. A lot of verbal diarrhea on both sides and yelling. We still have respect for each other and started talking about divorce. In a recent fight he threw a RP at me and now I’m here and whoa light bulb. That’s a man I met. That’s my Chad. So now letting go of control going to be hard but I need it and he wants it. I let myself go completely. Tired, bitter and overweight. So I know what I have to do. I’m looking for advice how can I support him on this journey. What did you do when you man took a RP after years of BP bs.
