Toxic masculinity is simply an attempt to disparage and blame men. As with patriarchy theory we need to refuse to engage in conversations based on such false premises. If we engage them with these assumptions we have lost half the battle.

If feminists want to talk about societal pressures on men fine, force them to frame the conversation in that context, not on the idea masculinity is a toxic force causing men to do evil.

Feminist make me laugh when they bring therapy.

When i saw a therapist after being raped by my ex gf, the women i saw did not even cared talking about my rape (the main reason i wanted help) but was already trying to find some form of male issue about me.

But somehow, the therapist that my ex saw was SURE that my ex was the victim. She raped me but hey, she's the victim, somehow.

So. While it may be just an isolated case, i have this weird hunch that many therapist are feminist and pushing the agenda, thus why so many feminist claim that therapy is the greatest solution. Weirdly enough, study show that therapy is not good for everybody.

But sure, men need therapy. /s

Toxic feminism is unfortunately all around. Feminists are angry and treat everyone, even other women, like shit. Basically feminism comes from a massive inferiority comex, that for some reason, these women (and men) have.

Some say it's penis envy but I don't buy that. There is more to it. Some might have had bad experiences with men. Some might just be femcels, having tried to get a man and never succeeded so it was easier to just hate them.

Weird thing is many act like all guys are drooling for them. This is ridiculous because I've been hated by feminists for being gay. Yes, they hate what they cannot have. One feminist even said that I'm too good looking to be gay and that I should be ashamed of myself for not finding a nice girl to pander to. She said "why do you waste your life to be with a man?"

As we all know therapy is expensive and the majority of these "troubled" young men won't be able to afford even one session let alone see a therapist regularly.

Funny thing is some of the feminists I've known had major mental disorders. Some were suicidal. Others had extreme violent tendencies. So perhaps therapy should be free for feminists, although I doubt it'd help them much.

Lots of people will state how bad aproblem it is. But have no idea what the problem actually is. This is how broken the term is.....

It's really amazing how they instantly try to change the subject because they don't want men to get shit for free even if it's regarding mental health for something that they insist is a danger on society.

Always it's been women first and women only as experienced by boys and men for decades regardless of the reasons those males might need help. As an example those males who experienced trauma from abuse have been excluded from taxpayer funded services for decades across the western world whilst womens' franchise is guarded ferociously.

The thing to remember is this: Toxic masculinity is not a thing that men do, it is a thing that women think. If the "standard" for masculine behavior is toxic, then it's women who have to change the behaviors they reward.

You are already trapped in the feminist paradigm when you use the term " toxic masculinity." There is no such thing as 'toxic masculinity." This is a term made up by radical feminists to blame men and oppress men, and excuse their own toxic behavior.

There is simply masculinity and femininity. Masculinity by definition is simply qualities or attributes regarded as characteristic of men. There's nothing toxic in that , indeed masculinity is therapeutic and lacking in today's society.

Many young men being raised in single female head of households suffer from a lack of masculinity; so start your argument from that point of view. Now you can discuss the crime rate among young men, or behaviors that need to be corrected.

AND in most Cases you correct this with MORE MASCULINITY, getting them in sports programs, or male clubs , therapy programs or organizations like Big Brother.

Therapy : Paying someone to listen to you, and tell you what they think is right for you.

Even they don't know if it's going to work. It's just a trial and error.

You can do the same thing by introspection. Just find a calm place, something green, with birds chirping, and flowing water streams. If you can't find this, there are lot of music that emulate such places. Just plug in earphones, sit in a windy place. Imagine you're there. Most of your problems can be solved by thinking with a calm mind, regardless of whether you're fine, or have any mental disability. The mind is a powerful thing, able to overcome any mental disability in state of calmness.

On personal level many women are turned on by the prospect of "taming the beast", fixing the man to be a better version of himself.

Yet on societal level the beast that many fetishize is in the sole responsibility of fixing itself, say feminists.

They don't see how damseling and other types of THEIR actions makes the paradigm work that they supposedly hate.

Therapy can’t fix everything. It will get those young people if they’re in school, possibly making the problem worse. Plus, if someone is in therapy, their mental state is in question, which can lead to all sorts of nasty things. We need more male teachers so that boys have role models and people that actually care. Not to mention that toxic masculinity is just used for the misandrist agenda and isn’t actually real

Right now, Toxic Masculinity just means Masculinity which is a problem that needs to be fixed but won't be because people inherently think right now that men having masculine traits is a bad thing and how it makes you out to be a bad person or will turn into a bad person eventually which is stupid. This quote has always stuck with me. I was raised by my mother and grandmother. There are far to many men my age and younger that have been raised completely without any positive male role models. Maybe women raising boys is part of the problem. But, wtf do I know.

When I ask them if they'd be okay with the government creating and funding a program for troubled young men to receive free mental health care their tone changes completely.

I consider myself a feminist and was looking at this thread because my dad is very passionate about these issues and I was curious to learn more without his bias. That being said, I think this is an amazing idea. Society produces men who have a difficult time processing emotions in general because of the way they're treated. If this was created I would be 100% behind it. Basically what I'm trying to say is that we're not all like this, and I'm very sorry that you had this experience.
