Though I do see why it was reported for such. I think this is a good example of the minimum we'd like to see. as there's both a link and some text to digest.

We don't need everybody to post essays or thesis level posts. But we also don't want the sub to devolve into memes and rage bait.

Should also notice how invisible the man is to everyone. A man in that position is just taken for granted and just as a normal, no one bothers. A woman sticks out like a sore thumb for everyone. Well that video gave me depression

Here is another experiment. Where the girl isn't even really perceived to be homeless, she is just called "hot" in this video. She receives a ton of donations and support when she carries a sign saying she wants more money. She receives tons of money especially from other men, whereas a homeless man who clearly looks like he is in poverty received almost nothing from anyone.

I see that all comments, including my own :), concentrate on the lack of male solidarity or in-group bias. But there is one more thing to be said. Let's assume for a while, that heterosexual men tend to be more willing to help women, because they love women. I don't think it's the whole explanation, but I imagine this might play some role. Isn't it strange then, that women in this experiment didn't show as much empathy with the opposite gender as men did?

The "toxic femininity" part of the story is also quite interesting. When tradcon fanatics wanted to ban abortion in my country, which ended with the largest protests in the modern history of Poland and when they tried to do quite a similar thing in the US, I saw many men saying things like "I imagine what could this mean for my daughter or wife" and actively helping and supporting women in many ways. Yet when we talk about things like suicide rates, homelessness rates, discriminatory laws (like conscription or custody laws in some countries), there is always this idea, that men should solve their problems on their own. And I always ask myself: but actually why?

Women and kids are treated better than men. There's a similar experiment, but this time done with a homeless teen boy vs. homeless adult man. The homeless man was told to get a job, had food thrown on him, and even a female cop treated him like shit, told him to get a job and smacked his cap a few times.

The homeless man even served his country. Imagine serving your country and then being treated like shit by the very people you protected.

I also notice that both females and males want to help the homeless women, whereas the homeless man gets disdain and hatred from both genders.

I think this social experiment also shows that women support other women, and men like to support other women too. So not only do females support their own gender, but they have the backing of males trying to protect them too.

Whereas if you are a male, other males do not have your back, and males generally do not support their own gender like females do. They seem to like to compete and attack each other instead. And females do not want to help you either and if you are a helpless man or homeless, like in this social experiment, they see you as contemptible and dangerous rather than have pity for you.

So simply put, females have support and love from both genders, whereas men have no support from anyone.
