Husband material is a man that is sexually and emotionally attractive, someone who also proved to be compatible with the woman in question for long term plans. As to what constitutes emotional attraction and compatibility will depend on the woman.

I don't have any desire to get married so....the term feels somewhat old-fashioned, but that's just me.

Maybe you didnt mean it this way, but "this man posses qualities that make him damn near perfect in all aspects" seems a bit extreme. Expecting perfection in a partner does not sound like a healthy mindset.

for me, a husband material man is someone who I can take home to my parents, who I can have a healthy long term relationship with (presumably for life). someone who i can be proud to be with, who takes care of me emotionally and physically and spiritually. a man who i feel safe to be my most open and vulnerable sexual self with.

Just some guy or girl who I find cute, feel 100% comfortable around, doesn't require me to mother them. Who sees me as a fallible person who passes gas, makes mistakes and has weird nerd hobbies and still sincerely cares about me. I want to share memes and banter and argue about shitty movies and tickle them in bed and then handcuff them to it and do gross disgusting depraved things together.
