I posted as the most often repeated trope for men who avoid marriage is they are deficient sexually. I’ve lost count how man in 30s and 40s aren’t marrying or cohabiting anymore. A friend insisted on living in his girlfriends much smaller home and rented his out as he was cautious just recently

Don't blame him. Why would I decide to start that whole program of misery and pain all over again. You get divorced you're on the hook, even I was forced to pay for private school after the divorce for years because that's the way it is for guys on top of CS.

Best advice I can give young men is go to divorce court and sit in there for one day, maybe two. Hear what's going on and then decide if the cake is worth a bite even though there's a 50% shot it's filled with poison.

And as someone noted earlier, if I do cohabitate I'm not letting her live here and I'll live with her and keep my place and rent it out. That way I have something to come back to but I'm not ever getting married again...and people are always like "you say that now"...yeah and I'll say it 5-10-20 years from now too. My kid is almost graduated with school, CS obligations end in a couple of years...why would I restart that bullshit?

The article doesn't really say anything about Tatum getting ripped off, abused, or feeling animosity towards the marriage in itself.

The article discusses how he doesn't want to get heartbroken, how relationships are tough for him, and how he needs time to process his life. He even speaks amicably about his ex-wife blaming neither side for their growing apart.

I think there are much better examples of men for whom marriage was a horrible experience. The obvious would be Johnny Depp, with Brendan Frasier acting as another great example.
