Feminists have the SlutWalks. We ought to have something like CreepyWalks where we own that word. No more shaming....

Except that asking someone out or dancing with them can be creepy in certain concepts.

Asking someone out on a date in a situation where they feel vulnerable can be creepy. Dark alley? Creepy Subway car that's empty except for the two of you? Creepy An elevator at 4AM? Creepy

A well lit, public area where the person has plenty of routes for escape? Well, you still need to read body language. Is the person you're asking out facing you, making eye contact, and actively part of the conversation (i.e. Not just giving one word answers)? Then you're good to go. Green light.

As for the dancing bit, how exactly do you define "flirting"? I've had several guys start rubbing their junk in my ass without asking after I so much as give them a smile. Asking a stranger before any kind of touching, including dancing, won't lead you astray.

Honestly, most women have had some experiences that made us feel unsafe. I once had a guy start following me as I was walking to the grocery store. He asked me for the time, and I told him, and then promptly put my earbuds back in. He kept following me, and entered the store with me, attempting to talk to me. I asked him to leave me alone, and told him I had a boyfriend. His response? "You're pretty, though! And sexy!" After I paid for my stuff and walked out of the store, he caught up with me again. I told him I would call the police if he didn't stop following me. He left me alone then, but I was checking over my shoulder the whole walk home. I doubt any sane person will argue that this guy wasn't "creepy", but you also have to remember how this will paint our future experiences. Any time I walk to the store now, I'm on edge. If someone tries to talk to me, I won't give them the time of day (literally) because that didn't go well before. I just want to get my milk and bread and not be bothered. If someone were to attempt to ask me out, after I've made it very clear that I just don't want any social interaction, I will think them a bit "creepy". These situations don't exist in a vacuum. We have crappy experiences that make a lot of "normal" situations to you seem "creepy" to us.

If they show up I say we simply take a good look at them and enjoy the ones who are pretty and talk among ourselves what we think look good.

And what would that achieve?

Again, I don't feel like your idea sends a clear and coherent message. The idea of the slutwalk was to combat the concept that women walking alone (especially at night) dressed promiscuously are more susceptible to rape (or that women should be judged for doing so). Regardless of how you feel about their stance on sluts or victim blaming - walking down the street in "slutty" clothing corresponds to the idea they are promoting.

But if you're "creep walking", what are you demonstrating? That it's okay to follow someone home? It just doesn't correspond to fighting the term creep - unless you are legitimately arguing that it's okay to "act creepy" and you should never be called out for it.

Because there is no need . No one. NO ONE. wants creeps around them. And whether you like it or not, if someone calls you a creep that means..you ARE A CREEP (to them) and thus they can "shame" you as they please. Though I don't even know what you mean by "shaming", they are simply expressing their displeasure with the way you are interacting with them - again - absolutely their right. "Sluts" (whatever the fuck that means) do not want to be shamed because they are acting in a way which causes NO harm to those not involved (or those that are, since no one is FORCED to be involved). Creeps such as you, however, are demanding the right to impose themselves on others. If someone finds the way you are interacting with them makes them feel uncomfortable, or. CREEPED OUT, that is their prerogative to assign you whatever adj they feel is suits your behavior (creepy, is often well suited, I have found). I mean..just as well, you are free to call someone you think is a slut a "slut". But the difference here is they are calling you creepy based on the way you make them feel by forcing them to have an interaction with you. The girls who you deem "sluts" are not forcing you to do anything. How is this so complicated that even your tiny little creepy (hehe) pea brain can't understand.
