This is like those White people who call me a "nigger" and a towel head and then say I am clearly inferior and prone to crime and terrorism swearing up and down they aren't racist because they don't "Hate" me.

Misogyny and racism do not require a wish to literally harm someone. Keep in mind you're in a community that calls any mention of rape culture (or women having any problems at all thanks to gender) "Misandry".

It's not misogyny when you say "Women can't drive." Statistically , that's not true anyway but even if it were it's not an inherently violent expression of your desire to go out and murder every woman you see.

I agree misogyny is grossly overused by feminists, but this could indicate misogyny (defined as a "dislike or hatred for women") depending on the context. It depends on the speaker's intentions. Are they generalizing because they're ignorant, or because they actually dislike women and want to slander them as a group?

I definitely agree that people overuse "misogyny". Rarely is it used in a way that connotes actual hatred. Often it is used to refer to a sexist statement. Even worse, it is often used to refer to a non-sexist statement in which women are presumed to be equal to men. (eg. Women commit domestic violence against men just as often as men do against women. Misogynist!)

But men's rights types don't use misandry to refer strictly to hatred. It is usually in reference to anti-male sexism. (eg. Men shouldn't be seated next to unaccompanied minors on planes or trains). As long as misandry is used in these contexts, I can't really complain about misogyny being used to refer to anti-female sexism (eg. Women are horrible drivers)

I don't really agree with this. Somebody can be treating a person like on object, or others be hateful toward them, without literally depicting it in their words - obviously this can also be twisted the other way too. If I say 'you black people sure do like kfc', that can be part of a hateful communication or merely part of a mildly insensitive one.

Misogyny is the hatred of women but people seem to be stretching the definition to include absolutely anything they think may be indicative of hating women. For example, are they against abortion? It's probably because they hate women rather than some alternate explanation.

They use it as a way to shut down discussion and silence dissenting opinions. They think that if they label someone as a woman hater it'll invalidate their reasoning/arguments so that they don't have to interact with them.

I feel misogyny usually expresses itself as some form of disrespect. It's not really hate and so it may seem like a strong word to use, but there is a real problem there. Our society doesn't respect women as much as men in general. It's a long subject to get into how to change that but I would summarize it by saying we need to actually raise our expectations of women because people tend to only live up to their expectations and societal expectations of women tend to be low, and the feminist movement seems to be doing the exact opposite. But the word is fine for pointing out there are problems.

Misandry, on the other hand, usually expresses itself as actual hatred and disregard for the health, happiness, well-being, and even the very lives of men. To keep the respect that we tend to get by default simply for being men, we have to fulfill expected male gender roles which usually involve self-sacrifice, usually for women and society in general by working dangerous jobs, interposing ourselves in dangerous situations, even sacrificing ourselves if necessary--"women and children first".
