It's understandable, rape can slip by if you're not looking for it. This is why men need to team up with other men, and remind each other not to rape. And women need to team up with other women, to remind each other when they're being raped.

The women have the easy part, because it's all the time.

This is likely. It's also accepted though that men who are rapists- real doing-it-on-purpose rapists- tend to be serial criminals. 2.5% of men into 19% of women is about 8 victims apiece, which isn't a stretch.

Without seeing how the actual questions were phrased, though, the statistics are mostly useless.

Please keep the distinction between rape and sexual assault.
Sexual assault can occur more easily because a person can easily turn around and say anything can be an assault. They can decide what words offend them, what actions are okay and which are not. The victim decides what was done by one person was okay while done by someone else wasn't okay. When to stop such actions and decide to withdrew consent when they want. So, yes 2 in 3 women saying they have been sexually assaulted is probably closer to the truth. Proving it in court is another thing. Men have done many things to girls without realizing it was an assault because honestly they didn't know where the line was. However, some men know perfectly well where the line is and cross it anyways because they can get away with it. To them it's no big deal. Which is wrong. We should all have respect for each other.

For all of you, you guys need to realize that in Canada, where there is no legal term of "rape." Sexual assault encompasses your definition of rape, and any form of unwanted sexual touching. A slap on the ass from a stranger, a boob grab, a penis groping, etc. Basically, go walking into any club with drunken idiots and you will qualify for this statistic. Sexual assault = unwanted physical touch of a sexual nature.

Put away your pitchforks and educate yourselves beforehand.

I really wonder if ANYONE outside of feminist thugs believe the 1 in 4 or 5 stat, let alone 2 in 3. I mean, no right-minded parent would send his or her daughter to a school if her chance of being RAPED were so high. The numbers are literally unbelievable.

define sexual assault cause i bet 1 in 5 women will never actually know the true definition, hell some women don't understand true sexual harassment clearly.

We've come to a point that some women can't be trusted and sadly a sexual encounter is i doubt sexual assault. Maybe the wording of the question is in the wrong term but i still feel like men and women need to be educated on the true defined wording of rape and sexual assault even sexual harassment.
