This is what our society has come to. My wife is a Daycare teacher, at her old job the male teachers/assistants were not permitted to change diapers, period, regardless of the gender of the baby or to take the children who needed assistance to the bathroom, again regardless of gender. That was a corporate policy btw.

Your far more polite then I. I've had people try and interogate my autistic son mid meltdown. I first fire off a warning look and if they don't get the message immediately i switch to outright hostility. One woman tried dragging a security guard over and grabbed my sons arm. I shoved her off and warned her if she tried touching my son again I would beat her to death. Guard didn't say a word.

I think you mean "Most men are not potential child predators", not "Not all men are potential child predators". The former is a fact, the later suggests the possibility that a large percentage of men are, which they are not.

And it sounds like the kind of person who works fast food trying to be friendly and saying something stupid. By your own quote she said, "everyone" and not men.

And even the "Is this your dad" doesn't seem offensive. Women, as a stereotypical rule, like to talk to kids. When I talk to a 4 year old as a guy without kids, I don't have a lot to talk about and I want to ask a simple question a kid with limited language skills can answer (I don't know how old your son is). I have asked a 4 year old with is mom and baby sister if that was his sister.

I get down voted every time I suggest that maybe we over reacted, but it seems just like someone making small talk with kids, saying something stupid.

What if you were the kids uncle and the answer the child offered was no. Would she then feel the need to "save" a child that doesn't need to be saved. My next question: Why would a pedophile take his victim[s] to a Burger King drive through? If that did/does happen the odds of her ever witnessing/experiencing that is slim to none? This is ridiculous.
