I think you need to stay the hell out of that sub.

It is hate. Nothing but hate. Pure hate. They don't want you there, they don't want me there, stop trying to convince them, or trying to argue with them, they don't want any of it. That is their echo chamber.

You would do better to help spread the word of Mens Rights to other subs, but noticing related issues being brought up and casually reminding people that /r/MensRights is a thing.

Remember, modern feminism dies when people who are not already convinced of it sees it for what it really is. You only feed it when you go there.

She must have been posting the wrong things... I've had this username for a year and a half and can't recall ever getting shit for being a woman. Being a bitch, certainly, but never for being a woman.

Here's my specific comment:

"What makes you upset about that picture being on r/rage? IMO, it's a very thought provoking picture because how are people supposed to know if a Yes actually means No? Obviously, coercing/blackmail/etc to get a Yes is rape. Nobody is arguing otherwise. Also related, nobody genuinely thinks that having sex with a person that is completely passed out drunk isn't rape. Do people still do it? Yes, but if you were to sit them down and actually ask them if they think it would be rape, chances are they'd say yes. There are stupid and sick people out there, but not as many as you may think.

As for the comments, I really don't see anything too controversial or "upsetting". They acknowledge that, like I said above, coercion into sex is still rape. However, what is also brought up is alcohol and consent. I've read many people, mostly feminists and even those on r/feminism that think you can not give consent if you've consumed alcohol. I think that is total bullshit. Can someone not control their actions after one drink? Would sex after one drink be rape? What about two drinks? Three? Four? What if both parties are drunk, who raped who? These are the questions that were raised in the comment section, and I find it baffling that you are upset by collective discussion. As for my input, I have no idea. I really don't think there's a absolute right answer. There is such a grey area between sober and passed out that I don't think can be defined.

Honestly? And this is my personal opinion that I've developed recently, is that feminism has gotten hijacked, a lot like the Republican Party has. I use to call myself a Republican, until the right-wing radicals took over the party, now I refuse to belong to that party because they're merely extremists. I would also say that the majority of people who are Republican are good people, unlike the ones in charge and who receive publicity. The same thing is happening to feminism. I'm all for equality between genders, but that is no longer what feminism fights for. The face of feminism is now just radicals, even though the majority of feminists are genuinely good people.

Is it wrong to think that "rape by coercion" is just shifting all the blame on the other person? Why is coercion equated with blackmail when it doesn't affect a person's list of choices? As bad and pathetic as it is, does begging for sex really eliminate consent? I could be arguing semantics here but for the life of me what does "Rape" mean anymore?

It looks like there are a lot of upvotes for both sides of the issue here, and that there are many people discussing legitimate points.

Maybe I am missing something, but it really seems like the only thing 'wrong' here, aside from some extremists, is the fact that people are using the word feminism. Am I missing something?

If feminists are sick of all the anger, why not remove the source by addressing men's issues in a sensible way? They could cut MRAs off at the knees by co-opting their agenda.

As a start, why don't prominent feminists call for significant punishments for false rape accusations, at least in cases in which the liar has falsely accused multiple times?
