As long as you two can talk and work it out it should not take that long at all. We have a house, 3 vehicle loans, 403b, And Credit cards in consalidation. She told me she was done at the start of Oct 2022 and I just signed the final agrement papers last week. Court date is set for next month.

You may need a new attorney. Your right it can be done in 15 minutes. I’m approaching one year with the only remaining issue being assets. In hindsight I should have set a trial date on day one which will move the process forward and at least stop wasting time and money with attorneys negotiating endlessly. They will “negotiate” until you force them to stop and schedule a pre-trial or trial with a judge
