"#MeToo is over if we don’t listen to ‘imperfect victims’ like Amber Heard"; Gross article denies Men can be victims of abuse & encourages people to never believe Men. Individuals such as this are why so many Men feel uncomfortable about opening up or seeking support.

If it takes this much pain & suffering for someone as wealthy/famous as Johnny Depp to get justice, imagine the amount of struggling the average man goes through in a False Accusation

Wow, I didn't know it was that bad, I'd only heard about the kiss and the hoards of middle aged women lusting after him.

Every clip also shows Bieber setting clear boundaries and having them ignored.

And people think men need to learn about consent!

Other videos show Ellen DeGeneres showing Bieber an unauthorized paparazzi photo of him naked

Given that the rest of the article keeps mentioning that he was 15/16... I'm guessing he was underage here too? That's, uh, quite a thing...

[–]intactUS_throwaway 31 points32 points33 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Let's call it what it is - CHILD PORNOGRAPHY.

[–]rabel111 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because for women its all about the romance, feeling emotionally connected and real feelings of love./s

Actually, its just thousands of lecherous old women lusting after an underage boy, and some of them actually sexually assaulting him in public and getting away with it again and again and again, even after the child repeated said it made him feel uncomfortable and violated.

When are the police and the courts going to prosecute these child molestors?

[–]deconstruct2012 126 points127 points128 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I remember Jenny McCarthy sexually assaulting him on stage. He was still a child. It was so disgusting, and so few seemed to care.

[–]xkirbz 56 points57 points58 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s Hollywood. Creeps in power everywhere in Hollywood.

[–]LuvBeer 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

She is absolutely disgusting. Hope she takes the dignified route chooses euthanasia.

[–]StopManaCheating 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She was also the main champion of the anti vax movement so she really can fuck off.

[–]hendrixski 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed.

[–]Aimless-Nomad 48 points49 points50 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

He was also falsely accused of rape.

[–]calmly86 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It was VERY satisfying to see him bring the “receipts” to prove she was lying.

[–]Aimless-Nomad 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well it didn't go anywhere did it? As usual she gets no punishment. Well atleast he was able to avoid a Johnny Depp situation.

[–]1angrydad 38 points39 points40 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's ok, he's a male. He MUST have liked it, and if not, well muh patriachry.

[–]dw87190 98 points99 points100 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I give zero fucks about Bieber's music, but no way in fuck am I ok with grown women behaving in a predatory way towards him. Disgusting

[–]Toxic-and-proud 46 points47 points48 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Specially when if it was reversed. Men doing it to a girl, theyd be screaming bloody murder, Thats my issue.

[–]dw87190 18 points19 points20 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Right there with you on that one too

[–]TheStumblingWolf 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The way Katy Perry tried to kiss him was like seeing someone impose themselves on a cat that has no interest. If a man did that he would be cancelled before he left the stage.

[–]Ferbuggity 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

God that made me cringe. Not just for his obvious discomfort, but her utter entitlement as well.

She got flak for being sexually aggressive with a teenaged Got Talent contestant, too:

[–]Magical-Hummus 20 points21 points22 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Seeing this shit, it is no damn wonder he took drugs.

[–]Minute_Ad_1494 23 points24 points25 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Jenny Mccarthy should be arrested for assault. Especially since he was only 18 and she was 40.

"User @kendallrae111 stitched together a number of videos from when Bieber was a teenager, all of which show adults either touching the singer inappropriately or asking him intrusive sexual questions. Every clip also shows Bieber setting clear boundaries and having them ignored."

You know, I noticed this weird thing, if there's something that people do wrong but it's male coded, then it's "MEN DO THIS HORRIBLE THING", and it completely erases all the female perpetrators.

On the other hand, whenever there is this inapproprate thing that MOSTLY WOMEN DO, then all of a sudden it's "Adults/people in general" do something wrong.

It's like there's always an open permission to bash men as a whole for something even if women are equally responsible, or even if it's just a tiny fraction of men, but if it's something most women do, or that those who do it are mostly women, then it's not OK to call women out and you have to "dilute" the accountability by including men in it somehow.

Lovely double standard I'm noticing more and more.

jenny is clearly a pedophile

[–]intactUS_throwaway 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Ew. Just... ew.

We're talking about a kid (technically an adolescent, but he neither looked nor sounded like it for quite a while) being turned into a sex object here. How is that not nauseating to more people?

[–]Spifffyy 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Simple answer; because he’s male. Simple as that. And that’s the awareness we need to raise, because that’s not right.

[–]BCRE8TVE 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because 1) it's a guy so it doesn't matter what happens to him, and 2) it can't be that bad because women are made from sugar and spice and everything nice, so it's not like it could be unpleasant anyways.

Reverse the genders and you'd get people taken to court over the exact same things.

Gotta love them double standards.

[–]DissociatedRacoon 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Oh wait! Wasn't there like a whole "moms who love bieber" club back then? I can't find it now but I remember there was a fan club of cougars following bieber on tour, they acted like teenagers and screamed lewd stuff at him.

[–]intactUS_throwaway 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He looked and sounded prepubescent at the time on top of that.

Makes my skin crawl. 🤢

[–]DemolitionMatter 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

99% of the people at his concerts were exclusively middle school girls and .01% of moms liked his music. everyone hated him except middle school girls.

[–]ApprehensiveMail8 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Clip has been taken down now.

[+]DemolitionMatter -9 points-8 points-7 points 3 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

i don't understand why people are acting like as if this happened all the time back then. Yeah there's some cherrypicked clips of people sexualizing him back then, but let's be real, these are a few clips. 99% of the time, people fucking hated bieber. i was there back then. unless you were a middle school girl, you despised him. hardly anyone sexualized him back then. and even if there were "moms for bieber" clubs, i swear .01% of moms liked him. everyone hated him and called him "gay".

this has probably nothing to do with his suicidal thoughts he later had.

[–]LimVess1100 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Ah yes. Back in the days of yore. Few of us remember the before times.

I'm assuming you forgot to breathe enough during the covid lockdown.

[–]DemolitionMatter -5 points-4 points-3 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

i am correct. people don't realize that people spent way more time shit-talking him than sexualizing him. Almost everyone hated Bieber except girls under 14.

[–]hendrixski 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like selection bias.

I didn't resonate with Bieber when I was in college and he was like 15 but I knew tons of people who did. His songs got played at my fraternity's parties.

Eventually he did that song about "you can go and fuck love yourself" and it resonated with me because I was going through a breakup. And he covered Despacito which was catchy and ubiquitous and I liked it until I heard the original by Daddy Yankee. So eventually I became a sort of Bieber fan myself. But yo, he was popular with way more than 14 year olds even in the early days.

[–]DemolitionMatter 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

this is only an anecdote. no frat boy liked bieber back when he was 15. by the time love yourself came out, he was 21, outgrew his teenybopper phase, and wasn't as hated anymore, and older people could now admire his music. in 2010, rarely would a frat party play his music, and hardly any college students liked him. in fact, i'd say a 18-21 year old would get bullied for liking him. mostly girls under 14 liked him. everyone else hated him.

frat parties probably played lil wayne or kanye west at the time.

[–]hendrixski 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

My Fraternity did not play any rap. Mostly pop and rock... One guy kept trying to sneak country into the mix.

Maybe it's the kind of group we were? Every fraternity is VERY different. We had a lot of sororities at our parties and we had a few brothers come out of the closet in that time. One even went on to write a book about the experience of coming out in Greek life. So maybe we were a little softer. But we could also dominate the sports teams when it came to beer pong so...

Anyway, there were Bieber fans in my fraternity.

[–]DemolitionMatter 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Your anecdote is an outlier. No frat boy listened to Justin Bieber in 2010. Guys hated him. And fears didn’t tolerate gay men back then

[–]Ferbuggity 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

i was there back then.

I was there too... as a parent of a kid who liked his music, and I am telling you there were lots of adult women expressing inappropriate things about that boy.

Maybe your experience has to do with age? As a parent at that time, it was really obvious and disturbing to me to see and hear adults swooning over him, or worse.

[–]DemolitionMatter -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That’s just one anecdote. Look up Justin Bieber fans from a decade ago on Google images. I promise you they look like early teens

The vast majority of parents didn’t even like Bieber

[–]Ferbuggity 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

"just one anecdote".. lel

According to an informal survey from Popeater, a widely read pop culture site, more than three-quarters of Bieber fans fell into two categories: under 17 and over 40. A full 21 percent were over 40.

https://www.youbeauty.com/love/bieber-boomers-why-older-women-love-justin-bieber/

Nobody is saying the vast majority of fans weren't young girls, the point here is that a discomfiting number of adult, even mature aged women went crazy over him as well (which has been clearly documented, see link above), and not only that but he was visibly harassed by a number of adults on camera as well.

[–]DemolitionMatter -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This means the vast majority weren't even 40, but remember, there's MILLIONS of 40+ year olds in america. they're half of americans. i primise you only a MINUSCULE percent of 40+ year olds like bieeber.

and that's a popculture site, a huge sampling bias. many people prolly don't read their shit much, most people probably didn't even encounter the article. and most of those women probably didn't find him attractive, and only liked him because their daughter did or because it reminded them of the beatles. they aren't attracted to him.

that survey was a sampling bias. look up justin bieber fans from 2010, they all were girls under 15. anyone else HATED him. everyone fucking despised him, people spend all their time talking shit about him. only 1% of the time were people "sexualizing" him other than his pubescent fangirls.

[–]Ferbuggity 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Your speculation is ... a bunch of speculation, but if Justin Beiber's cougar fanbase is the hill you wanna die on, I can't stop you.

[–]DemolitionMatter 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

dude i already explained why you're wrong. his fans were almost exclusively middle school girls. hardly any middle aged women find a 15 year old guy hot. c'mon. everyone hated him viciously back then except middle school girls.

[–]alexchambana 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

can someone share a version ?

I'm a big fan of Kendall Rae on Youtube, been following her for a long time. I'm not surprised she'd do something like this, but I am very glad she did.

I used to just feel sick watching how that boy was treated. I hope he's really okay now.
