Well-connected drunk woman falsely accuses a random man of being a robber after seeing a side profile for less than a second. The woman found her purse 36 hours later and let the man rot in jail. The man was later abused in jail, and spent months to prove his innocence.

I'm okay with exclusive events so long as everyone is free to discriminate as they see fit.

[–][deleted] 473 points474 points475 points 7 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. Either it’s all ok, or none of it is.

[–]linkpopper 74 points75 points76 points 7 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

My entire philosophy on discrimination and racist words

Oppression Equality. Everyone gets shit equally.

[–]RagnarTheReds-head 54 points55 points56 points 7 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

There is no racial bigotry here .I do not look down on Niggers , Kikes , Wafs or Greasers .Here you are all equally worthless .

[–]linkpopper 19 points20 points21 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Nah, I know gook cause I hate it when people call me chink, I'm Viet, not fucking Chinese. And the others are pretty basic

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]TheNickers36 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]TheYoungGriffin 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't even recognize half those terms...

[–][deleted] 29 points30 points31 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I remember asking why it was '"bad" that some schools wouldn't teach Black students' in my 4th grade social studies class (they start the indoctrination young).

I asked "But couldn't they make their own schools?"

The teacher gave me a talk after class.

My Mom gave me a talk after school.

But my Dad... my Dad said he was proud of me for asking questions.

I'll never forget that moment with my Dad. Miss you man.

[–]ThomasTheWarpEngine 11 points12 points13 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I should've clarified "so long as it's not a government-funded institution," but for sake of clarity...

But yeah, they could've, and looking back, perhaps they should've, and out-performed the other schools to prove a point. That would've been amazing to see.

[–]revofire 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That would have ended the racism against blacks real quickly in the eyes of intellectuals, then slowly but surely racism would be forced out.

[–]EpiphanyDistributor 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

always remember that desegregation was something the people opposed so universally that it had to be enacted at gunpoint by the national guard

[–]wtf_ever_bro 71 points72 points73 points 7 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

Exclusive events would be COMPLETELY ok, maybe even better((?)) than regular ones as long as everyone got to discriminate upon their, gender, race, nationality, etc... as it was actually significant to the project/movement. I'm all for equality, like really ALL for it. But it has to apply to everybody or it's not equality.

Edit: grammar

Edit2: I know the difference between there and their (even tho I don't type like I do)

[–]gunghoun 33 points34 points35 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Edit: grammar

Didn't help. I have no idea what you're trying to say.

[–][deleted] 25 points26 points27 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If they can discriminate against guys I can discriminate against gals/christians/jews/muslims/atheists/etc.

Basically if one kind of discrimination is ok every other kind is legal as well. So no double standards.

[–]GarymanGarrett 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea, I don't get it and I read it 3 times, never again!

[–]LimousineLibtard 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exclusive events would be COMPLETELY (maybe even better((?)) than) regular ones

I agree. Then I could finally start my blacks-only abortion clinic!

[–]Demonseedii 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]ThomasTheWarpEngine 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

On a personal level, no, it's disgusting.

But if people want to disassociate with another group of people, for even stupid reasons, I support that right.

How about no-Nazi events? Should the event coordinator be forced to include Nazis? It's a two-way street.

It is generally frowned upon in society to be a racist/sexist/etc., so it's in a business owner's best interest to not discriminate like that or risk losing business and gaining a negative reputation.

edit: Don't downvote a genuine question, y'all.

[–]EpiphanyDistributor 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

tough shit, it's fine

[–]GGRain 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

interesting, that you didn't use no-asians or no-whites events as examples.

[–][deleted] 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]GGRain 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Because the US has a history of discriminating against both of these groups (the recent history).

[–]Vlad_Z 471 points472 points473 points 7 years ago (26 children) | Copy Link

How socially retarded do you have to be to not get along with 50% of your species.

[–]cavalierau 69 points70 points71 points 7 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I probably only get along with 50% of people. Gender is not a deciding factor, however.

[–]shotgun883 29 points30 points31 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

50% seems reasonable. I hate virtually everyone. Especially when the are walking aimlessly in front of me when I’m trying to make Christmas shopping last as short a time as possible.

The internet in my basement is for true winners.

[–]EpiphanyDistributor 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[+]EpiphanyDistributor -6 points-5 points-4 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

serious question, what is a turn signal getting you. as long as someone has proper clearance to change lanes, a flashing light is irrelevant. on turns, if you're not following too close which is an actual hazard, again, what does the flashing light matter. also, many times there's a dedicated turning lane, i always have to laugh when someone has the clicking thing on when in one

[–][deleted] 7 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

[permanently deleted]

[–]EpiphanyDistributor 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

i deal with it every day. it's just that if I'm gonna make a lane change I'm going to make sure it's clear, the guy behind me won't even know it happened whether i put the signal on or not. if someone doesn't signal before getting in my lane, they already made it in, what do i care. i know if he's gonna make it or not, and i don't follow closely anyway which is the worst thing you can do. so it just seems like a pointless act

[–]Rathadin 67 points68 points69 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Here's a better idea.

Don't bring in people that won't adapt to your culture, into your country.

[–]uberduger 32 points33 points34 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Strongly agreed.

Also, this isn't about Muslims - it's about anyone that doesn't integrate. Like if I went to live in China and made no effort to even try and learn Chinese.

[–]penis-retard 23 points24 points25 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You can get around China knowing very little Chinese. Just don't rape anyone. I'm not sure what a better comparison would be

[–]saitselkis 17 points18 points19 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Woah there, sounds like you need to go to the reeducation camps buddy.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

sad that this is the big brained take, it should be common sense

[–]asdfgasdfg312 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not really 50%, they are against the raping imigrants but pointing that out would be racist while its all ok to blame "men" because the majority is white cis scum who cant be discriminated against.

I don't get along with around 70% of people, including myself. Too many selfish, cruel, manipulative folks out there.

[–]I_am_jacks_reddit -2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

First women make up more than 50% of the population. Second they just wanted a music festival where they went being raped in record high numbers.

If you haven't actually read the article they didnt actually ban any men from buying tickets or going.

[–]Vlad_Z 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Is that why lesbian couples have one of the highest, if not the highest, rate of domestic abuse?

[–]majaka1234 36 points37 points38 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's just double the internalised misogyny at play.

Damn patriarchy making lesbos beat themselves up.

[–]Pie_021 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I need more feminism because the patriarchy makes me abuse my partner in my lesbian relationship.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And divorce...

[–]Officer_Owl 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No because they need to find a new reason to feel oppressed since it’s socially acceptable to be homosexual now

[–]EpiphanyDistributor 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

females have little agency and follow what the media-government complex instructs then to do. girl power/you're independent don't need no man/also protect me from men please please please

“Lundstedt said nobody suffered damage as a result of Statement saying men were not welcome and there will be no penalty for organisers.” They got away with breaking the law.

They got away with breaking the law.

No they didn't, lol. The guy quoted is the ombudsman for discrimination, he doesn't rule on the case and his statement is in no way legally binding.

They haven't broken the law because it hasn't been decided by a court.

[–]TheRealAlphaMeow 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Let's see them do the same event again, you dumb bitch.

[–]ideserveall 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So basically they wanted a festival without any sexual assaults from men. Fine by me because the day when a angry lonely dyke gets mad she's not getting some poon and fondles the wrong girl I'll be dying laughing.

It's bound to happen.

[–]Dls95405 511 points512 points513 points 7 years ago (45 children) | Copy Link

Actually, lesbian couples have the highest rates of domestic violence of all types of couples.

[–][deleted] 240 points241 points242 points 7 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

[+]lorenzbrobro -28 points-27 points-26 points 7 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Probably because women report more than men

[+]DerTrickIstZuAtmen -63 points-62 points-61 points 7 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Ssshhh don't question the narrative of this sub.

[–]majaka1234 28 points29 points30 points 7 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Hardly a narrative when the statistics show an incredible trend.

At that point you burying your head in the sand is just indicative of your inability to make evidence based conclusions and ironically shows that you'd rather push your own narrative over using objective reason and logic.

I wonder if the irony is lost on you or I'm just a racist bigoted homophobe who hates women for daring to point out your fallacy? 🤔

[–]lorenzbrobro 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm not saying that men don't get abused I'm saying that most men will not report their abuse due to social stigma or embarrassment. Are we really going to pretend like that doesn't exist. We can see the discrepancy between crime reports and victim reports. Men are more likely to report their victimization in anonymous reports rather than go to the police and make an official report. Most women have no problem calling the police. When you have a lesbian couple, that number doubles

[–]majaka1234 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not saying that your pointbis invalid - in fact I'm almost certain that you have a valid point.

But how much? 10%? 20%? 30%?

The issue is your lack of data to back up your position and justify it to XYZ percentage.

You can't just refute an actual study with your gut feeling - that's not how life works.

I'll even defend data on both sides of the fence because if you can't follow scientific principles then your point of view simply doesn't belong in 2018 no matter how logical it may seem.

[–][deleted] 7 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

[permanently deleted]

[–]majaka1234 11 points12 points13 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Nope.

There most likely are multiple factors at play but you've failed to present any argument further than "I feel..." so that's why you're dismissed.

If you want to be taken seriously then cite sources and find data to back it up otherwise you're just another piece of noise in the gamma radiation background of morons putting their opinion into the ether.

[+]DerTrickIstZuAtmen -12 points-11 points-10 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You didn't take the effort to reply to anything in my text.

you've failed to present any argument further than "I feel..." so that's why you're dismissed.

Where did you present any argument for your 'they are more violent because… they are more violent' hypothesis? Your text is definitely more emotional than mine, why do you belittle my opinion based on the accusation that it's'only' about feeling?

If you want to be taken seriously […]

otherwise you're just another piece of noise in the gamma radiation background of morons putting their opinion into the ether.

I'll pass on the effort convincing someone who is that self-absorbed. Try applying your standards to yourself. Show us your arguments for your explanation. If you actually have one.

Just as 'they are more violent' isn't a great answer to the statistical overrepresentation of domestic violence from men against women, it isn't a great answer to the question why lesbian couples report more domestic violence than heterosexual and gay couples.

[–]epacseno 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Where did you find the information? I would like to read it.

[–]Dls95405 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Search for ‘rates of domestic violence by lesbians’. There’s myriad studies showing this

[–]AtiumDependent 69 points70 points71 points 7 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

About 2-3 months ago I’m sitting in my apartment at my computer playing some Overwatch. It’s raining outside but I can kinda hear something going on outside. Peek out the sight hole. Young lesbian couple arguing. The smaller one was begging the other one to forgive her for something. It must’ve been serious cause the other one pushes her against the wall outside and starts choking her. The other one just letting her do it. Definitely wasn’t the first time they’d done something like this if i had to guess. Just poked my head out like, “Yo....what the fuck is wrong with you?” Smh

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

idgaf what lesbians like or don't like, I only care about what my dick likes.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I know one that likes to get drunk and get ass fucked by guys. That whole spectrum thing. And you shouldn't speak for a group unless asked to.

[–]AtiumDependent 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Has nothing to do with the spectrum. They’re women who only fuck women. They identify as lesbians. Lesbians, by definition, are only interested in fucking women. Not exactly anything ground breaking I’m covering here. Just taking someone’s words and own identity at face value fam.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I remember dropping off something to my sister about 5 or 6 years ago and when I got up to the front door I could hear her girlfriend beating her. Took every ounce of my self control to not kill her girlfriend. Apparently she was being abused for about 6 months and never told us.

[–]Caprious 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean...the “crazy girlfriend” stereotype has a basis.

(I’m not saying all women are crazy, calm down people.)

But the stereotype has basis. Now...put two crazy girlfriends in one relationship, and tell me again that you’re surprised by these results.

I don’t consider my girlfriend a “crazy girlfriend”, but early on even she threw an ashtray at me.

[–]tertiaryocelot 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even if they are right they are saying straight woman may be more abusers then lesbian woman.

So it's a very interesting counter point.

[–]dedragon40 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

No it's not, wtf?

It's proven that men who are victims of domestic abuse won't report it as often as women. It's pretty obvious that relationships where both people more likely to report abuse will have more reported abuse than relationships where just one person is more likely to report abuse.

But yeah, pretty big "could be". Huge leap of logic.

[–]majaka1234 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The leap is "my theory that men under report trumps the actual evidence which shows this not to be the case."

Backed up with "my gut feeling stats of exactly how much men under report is also able to account for all differences despite me having no evidence to refute the actual data presented."

So yes. Opinions stated without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

is paper presents a narrative review on IPV occurring in same sex couples, that is, same sex IPV (SSIPV). Despite the myth that IPV is exclusively an issue in heterosexual relationships, many studies have revealed the existence of IPV among lesbian and gay couples, and its incidence is comparable to (Turell, 2000) or higher than that among heterosexual couples (Messinger, 2011; Kelley et al., 2012).

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6113571/

There are significant barriers to lesbians seeking help. Lesbian victims seldom report violent incidents to the police because many fear prejudicial treatment, and many state domestic violence laws fail to protect same-sex partners (9). Also, in cases of same-sex violence, police often assume the abuse is mutual (or believe an abusers claim that the abuse is mutual) and are more likely to arrest both members of the couple (14). Battered womens agencies also may not be open to serving lesbians (2,3).

https://mainweb-v.musc.edu/vawprevention/lesbianrx/factsheet.shtml

People who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex or queer (LGBTIQ) experience intimate partner violence at similar rates as those who identify as heterosexual.

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points18 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

ZERO rapes and sexual harassment reported at the festival.

Unheard of in the festival world.

Sorry that triggered you incels so badly.

edit

Since its getting upvotes below:

Sweden Rock DID have reports. Both rapes and sexual assaults. Even tho it has a much higher age group.

Statement festival is unique, being for people in their teens and 20´s 30´s, and still no sexual assaults.

No amount of downvotes will change that.

I have worked over 80 festivals in different capacities over the last 12 years and have had a handful of incidents. Like 5 out of 1.5 million people.

I’m a guy - guess how many times I’ve been groped by women? Dozens

[+]proggbygge -19 points-18 points-17 points 7 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

Strange how all those organizers of festivals, with events all over the world, disagree with you.

Its a well known problem, and as they say, its normally not talked about because its not good for business.

And look how the reactions were when they actually did. Blaming Muslims, immigrants, getting angry at the women for making their own festival...

All this has just showed that being open about it is bad . Really bad.

Just pretend its not happening. Much calmer.

[–]calgarykid 17 points18 points19 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dude I actually help organize festivals. What is your role in these festivals? But yeah you tell me what’s happening at them when I can guarantee you have 0 insight whatsoever other than an opinion that fits your beliefs.

I am aware of every assault and overdose big or small at these events. Overdoses waaaay up. Sexual assault is not.

I would never minimize an assault claim of anything from anyone. Maybe myself and the attendees of the festivals I’m involved in are extremely lucky or well behaved compared to other festivals but I think it’s ridiculous that certain groups within society can claim discrimination while DISCRIMINATING PEOPLE.

https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-44518892

Nearly half of female festival goers (43%) under 40 say they have faced unwanted sexual behaviour at a music festival, a new survey suggests.

You wanna know why the people above claim "we never heard of any"?

also found that only 1% of women reported sexual assault or harassment to a member of festival staff, either before or after the event,

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I find it astonishing that it's socially acceptable there to discriminate against men but not against the north african/middle eastern races whom are obviously the people sexually assaulting the girls at the festivals - very particularly them too - men are 50% of the population, and the arabs/africans are, what, 5%? and essentially all of the people doing the rapes were that 5%, so surely it's more utilitarian to just prohibit those ones? but no! apparently in Sweden, men are all to blame for this phenomenon

[–][deleted] 68 points69 points70 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

The people who caused this idea for a female only festival were the rapists and sex offenders of previous festivals who just so happened to be ‘refugees’ from Africa and the Middle East. I guess it’s easier to say “no men allowed” instead of “no immigrants allowed” because something something multiculturalism.

[–]thapussypatrol 39 points40 points41 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

yeah, and I'm wondering just how it is socially acceptable to hate men but not the people who are overwhelmingly committing the crimes :') it's as if you'd be saying "no men allowed" if you knew specifically that there was a ginger gang of terrorists killing people in a given area - the ginger gang were all men! so no men allowed! fuck men and fuck the oppressive patriarchy - gingerism is a peaceful and misunderstood way of life!

[–]MrDavi 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]TheNickers36 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Multiculturalism is great, feminism and ______ lives matter movements are fine, but is it REALLY misogynistic and backwards to point out a specific group of people and treat them as such for their actions? Like we've got the statistics that sexual assault and issues are coming heavily from the immigrant population, why is it so bad to put the blame on them, when they've fucking earned it?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That’s the key question. Why can’t we blame them when the facts support the claim. Suppose they don’t wanna be associated with racists even though it has nothing to do with genetics itself, more the culture.

Swedish police doesn't publish peoples nationality because it would "cause an outrage" apparently but if you do understand swedish I'd recommend "Uppdrag Granskning"s episode on rape where they concluded that 58% of the criminals are born in another country and rape assault had in 110 out of 129 cases, an assailant born otherwhere.

Edit: you can read this newspaper article about it if you'd like: https://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/a/8wA0LQ/ug-kartlagger-domda-valdtaktsman

I'm "pulling it out of my ass"? buddy, please, do some research. sexual crimes in sweden have skyrocketed in line with the introduction of north african/middle eastern "refugees" - in fact, in neighbouring Norway (with similar policies) they actually have classes where they teach the newcomers that it's not okay to rape women. why do you think they'd have to teach them such a thing? oh right - because in those parts of the world, feminism hasn't drifted over yet. you have to understand just how western the idea of women's rights are. sweden particularly is one of the most (and proudly so) feminist/egalitarian societies out there, so why on earth would it be the natives raping the women? the native swede men are a bunch of pussies who've been raised in a feminist country, whereas the muslims weren't. do the fucking maths. there are no-go areas not because the muslims are scared, but because the natives are scared of them. I fucking wonder why.

[–]internethjaelten 12 points13 points14 points 7 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

In-home (dunno English word, essentially you get raped by your S/O or someone close in the family) is led by swedes (as in a swedish passport) while assault rapes (again, dunno English word but these are the kind when someone gets assaulted by strangers) is lead by immigrants. Rape on men is lead by immigrants, believe or not but this has became a thing since the mass-migration wave. At festivals and such it has became a thing where big groups of immigrants form a big circle around girls and just go batshit crazy with the harassment.

There are some stats around this, but much of it for some reason our government don't want to enable those statistics.

[+]Skinjacker -17 points-16 points-15 points 7 years ago* (13 children) | Copy Link

Basic fact about statistics: correlation does not imply causation.

The no-go zones are not just as simple as “white people are scared of the evil brown people!!” there’s way more to it than that and most of them have nothing to do with immigrants, it’s just Swedish police getting better at identifying risky areas which are present in literally every country. As for the “rape classes” in Norway, they’re not as bad as you make them seem. Those immigrants are willingly and on their own accord going to them in order to learn more about the culture and assimilate in this new completely foreign environment. It opens up dialogue and people from a completely foreign land can better understand Western cultural queues. I don’t see what’s wrong with that and I don’t think it means anything.

You can make assumptions and oversimplifications all you want. You clearly don’t care about the facts.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

can you please stop this needless bullshit? if the police tell you that you cannot go into those areas because they won't be able to save you if you get into trouble because they will be heavily outnumbered by essentially a mob of muslims, that is more than merely a risky area - that is an area of a nation that is "blacked out", and I don't mean in the racial sense - I mean that in the "loss of hope" sense.

Those immigrants are willingly and on their own accord going to them in order to learn more about the culture and assimilate in this new completely foreign environment.

actually no - there are consequences for not showing up to those, i.e. loss of benefits.

also: "new environment" = "this new country where I can't just rape girls anymore" = "this is a weird country, maybe I don't want to adjust to this so suddenly" = "I feel like molesting little swedish girls - they're easy meat here"

really - I'm stunned at the lengths you're going through to bury your head in the sand.

Did you actually read any of the articles you deluded fuck?

[–]thapussypatrol 21 points22 points23 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

lmao

right, let's take a look at these links then. this will be funny.

  1. Are they no-go zones?

Well, not really. This term caught on in international media after it was used by a columnist to label these areas, but police and emergency services have themselves repeatedly rejected it,

because they're scared of coming off as racist, as is swedish custom at this stage. that's why they don't report racial demographics of crime. no shit.

arguing that these are areas with a higher police presence, if anything.

buuuuut then it says:

That said, emergency services do often adapt their behaviour, for example by making sure that there is proper back-up, by entering the areas via alternative routes, or by reversing their vehicles into the areas in order to make sure they are able to leave quickly if needed.

so they aren't "no go areas" - they're just those areas that we know that we might have to get out of once we get into them - so they aren't "no go", they're "go, then run the fuck away from" zones. "they aren't no go zones - they're obviously known to be extremely dangerous zones, but we choose not to call them no go zones because that's racist~"

Emergency services have, for example, been exposed to threats, stone-throwing,

so exactly as I put it to you: anti-police mob violence.

or vandalism of their vehicles. But it's not black and white: often, nothing of note happens.

except the odd grenade attack, and the odd night of setting cars on fire(!)

those areas are absolutely no go zones. that article is a fucking swedish PC-job. "they're not no-go zones - we prefer the term "vulnerable areas" because we feel so sorry for the violent people that attack us there because they hate it when we enforce the law to stop them from committing crimes, i.e. sexual assault"

and as for these anti-rape courses:

https://youtu.be/eINHMEe-VZw?t=55

as it plainly states from 1:07 : "classes on norwegian culture (context = anti-rape classes, though) are now compuslory for all asylum seekers - if they don't go, their benefits are cut" - like I already fucking told you.

[–]Skinjacker -2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Ah, so what you're telling me is that you didn't read any of the articles. I love how you dismiss anything that you don't like as just Sweden being PC. Feelings over facts right?

because they're scared of coming off as racist, as is swedish custom at this stage. that's why they don't report racial demographics of crime. no shit.

According to who? You? Why should I trust you over a fucking fire chief in Sweden?

A fire chief in an area which covers some of northern Stockholm's most vulnerable suburbs, including Rinkeby and Tensta, told the Local earlier this year: “We don't have any no-go zones, absolutely not, the opposite in fact. We move around in all areas, with the same force, at the same speed."

You can yell "pc pc everything i don't lilke is just pc" all you want. I really don't care. No one should trust a random redditor over a primary source.

And then you say,

those areas are absolutely no go zones. that article is a fucking swedish PC-job. "they're not no-go zones - we prefer the term "vulnerable areas" because we feel so sorry for the violent people that attack us there because they hate it when we enforce the law to stop them from committing crimes, i.e. sexual assault"

What the fuck are you even on? Most of those places are no-go zones because of gang violence, which has been going on in Sweden since the 1990s.

There are currently around 5,000 criminals and 200 criminal networks in these vulnerable areas, according to police estimates.

It feels good to assume everything bad is from some evil people from a foreign country. But that's literally not reality.

According to someone who actually fucking lived and grew up in one of these zones,

There are a lot of people on low incomes with immigrant backgrounds you know, but most young people, the children of parents who have come here, are studying and have jobs. But there's also those who went wrong and ended up outside of society, and then they get all the headlines because no one goes to interview an average young person studying at university. So it's a little bit of seeing what you want to see.

As for the rape classes, you said in your earlier comment,

also: "new environment" = "this new country where I can't just rape girls anymore" = "this is a weird country, maybe I don't want to adjust to this so suddenly" = "I feel like molesting little swedish girls - they're easy meat here"

What the fuck is actually wrong with you? In no Muslim culture is rape okay and accepted. It's literally a major sin in in the religion.

Literally the person who ran this program says,

"Everyone is in agreement that rape is bad," she later tells AFP. "But there are all these grey zones, these situations that are a little difficult to grasp... The problem can arise with any of us."

Why should I listen to some dumbass on reddit over someone who fucking ran the program? These people literally just don't know the culture. They're not used to such a sexually open culture. And they want to learn.

Some of the things they said:

"But if she's drunk, how can I be sure that she wants to sleep with me?" asks a Sudanese man.

"If she says no, I don't do anything against her will," insists a third.

"In my opinion it's not men who did that. They're animals. They're sick people," says Sulaiman Adel, a 42 year-old Syrian.

I know this is hard to believe, but they're literally just normal people.

And I love how I get downvoted for sticking to facts and you get upvoted for making racist assumptions. Just goes to show what kind of people you are.

I don't care about downvotes, just please look at the facts instead of assuming shit. Please.

Types of rape:

Vulnerability 22.1%

Relations 16.6%

Assault 15.0%

Other 11.1%

Partyrelated 35.2%

Perpetrators country/contintental background

Asia 18.7%

Middle east 12.3%

Africa 21.9%

which when added together is 52.9% of total rape-perpetrators.

"In 2010, the immigrant community grew by 57,000, which accounted for 90% of Norway's population growth; some 2% of newborn children were of immigrant background (two foreign parents). These statistics indicate that Norway's population is now 87.8% ethnic Norwegian, a figure that has steadily decreased since the late 20th century. Some 12.2% of the population is of solely immigrant background, while 5.7% of the population is of mixed Norwegian-foreign ancestry. People of other European ethnicity are 5.8% of the total, while Asians (including Pakistanis, and Iraqis) are 4.3%, Africans 1.5%, and others 0.6%"

And that's norways WHOLE immigration statistics, not Oslo's.

[–]Skinjacker 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No, I checked the source you linked and those stats about the rape percentage being 52% from non-whites is in Oslo, in 2012. Not Norway.

I do care about the truth but cherry picking a specific year in a specific European city doesn’t prove anything anything. Let’s say that like 6 rapes happened. If 4 of those were from immigrants, you can make ridiculous claims like 67% of rapes come from immigrants when that doesn’t really paint the whole picture.

Of course I care about the truth.

[–]pm_me_you_in_latex 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes, as I said.

Oslo's rape statistics 2011

I was talking about Oslo which is Norways capital city, you do know that right?

If you look at this graph:

https://i.imgur.com/3nX3Ll5.png

There were 256 total reported rapes in Oslo which means 52.9% of those were commited by people with backgrounds from Asia, Africa and "other" and those made up a total of 6.4% of Norway's whole population.

256*0.529=135 rapes were from people from these regions which is over half.

Why would it be so wildly different in norway compared to rest of Europe? Obviously people from these regions are overrepresented in violent crimes, but we need to figure out why. In Sweden, BRÅ doesn't even wanna release numbers on ethnicities in violent crimes such as rape, assault etc as it would prove Sverigedemokraterna(An immigrant critical party) right.

[–]Skinjacker 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Again, you’re only making assumptions about Sweden. As for Oslo, again, if that specific city’s statistics in that specific year is really the worst you could find, it doesn’t really mean much. I can cherry pick data all I want and I’m sure if I looked hard enough I’d find a city with 0 rape caused by immigrants in a specific year.

What the fuck? Facts about what? Im not the one making ridiculous fucking claims like brown people are the cause of all rapes in Europe.

[–]calgarykid 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Obviously they aren’t the cause of all rape in Europe; however rapes have increased with the floods of refugees/immigrants. The unfortunate thing is that it is nearly impossible to say that refugees/immigrants are the cause because it’s such a touchy issue. I read a couple of articles today that went through all of the major increases in sexual violence in Sweden and the UK - at the bottom of each article was a tiny blurb that said “oh yeah and there were 160k refugees from war torn Africa and the Middle East entering the countries during this period.”

It’s really unfortunate that we can’t talk about anything without the same old tired arguments. For instance, I’m from Calgary and a decade ago there was a pretty big gang war here. It was Chinese, Korean, Sudanese, and Lebanese gangs fighting over the drug trade here. But it seemed like you couldn’t bring up the race of the criminals without being branded a racist. Even though the gangs were literally divided by race! Our murder rate doubled due to these groups yet it wasn’t because of them? It’s absurd.

How is this beneficial to the artists? think of the ticket revenue being lost ostracizing half the population!

[–]Legion681 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I remember the time when Swedish women were actually pretty. :(

[–]ConsumeLettuce 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Remember, this is a feminist event, so your looking at the bottom of the barrel here.

[–]Legion681 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I hope so!

[–]lovethebacon 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would go and claim being another gender or such shit, but the truth is I don't care enough to leave the house for much.

[–]Ian5150 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wouldn't want to go either way.

[–]some1arguewithme[🍰] 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This was not a pass denial...

"Still, we haven't been able to prove that someone would have been discriminated against in connection with the implementation or that someone would have been rejected.'

Lundstedt said nobody suffered damage as a result of Statement saying men were not welcome and there will be no penalty for organisers."

[–]SageBus 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't discriminate. I think everyone is equally inferior than me.

[–]Faulkner89 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oddly enough that is the spirit of the movement.

[–]Sugarcola 10 points11 points12 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Finally some progress (with legal basis too!) since the culture shift in 2014. Hopefully now people can have more nuanced views of the world.

Egalitarian is the way to go 🤘🏼

What's next? A Whites Only festival?

Underrated comment of the year.

[–]anticultured 28 points29 points30 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

So turn off all the amplifiers, lights, and electronics. Don’t be hypocrites, no women made that shit. Wtf, all those textiles, makeup, and hair dye in that pic. Remove them! All of that is from men.

[–]5years8months3days 27 points28 points29 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Who set the equipment up anyway? I bet there were plenty of men constructing the stages and setting up all the infrastructure.

[–]wulfzbane 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

As a woman who works in the music industry, the ratio of women to men is like 1:30; I don't even know enough women in the industry to put on a festival. I've been wondering how this disaster was going to turn out. 🤣

[–]anticultured 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are a brave one. :)

[–]BonvivantNamedDom 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"men are not welcome". Wow. Ok. What about "women are not welcome"?

[–]nevereverd 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Males get in free? Nice.

[–]TheNickers36 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

God. They treat men like some other species that should be feared or something....like GODDAMNIT, we all wipe our asses, and we all have to be the ones to swing our legs out of bed in the morning and get up, we're all mostly the same

[–]zackit 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Whoops! Eat the shit stew you worked so hard on.

Gentlemen, just put on your Sunday best and strategically post yourselves at exit points, awaiting all the intoxicated women who haven't seen a man all day. Gotta see the silver linings to these kind of things.

Showing once again how fucking stupid Swedish people are.

[–]kaosabbe5 points 7 years ago [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

Me and a majority of the citizens here are prisoners in this multicultural feminist experiment of a country. Not all of us are fucking stupid.

[–]Saqhmet 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

im sorry. you are right. but it pisses me off that your nice country has gone this way

[–]ToCoolForPublicPool 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It feels like you think that Sweden is awful because of things like this happening. Sure its not a good thing but Sweden is still one of the better countries in the world. Its just that you hear a lot of shit about it mostly becuase thats more interesting to read especially sincey I'm guessing youre not from Sweden. Anyway we got some social issues like the insane PC culture, among with other more boring things.

[–]ToCoolForPublicPool 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So true. PC culture has gone way to far here. Luckily I surround myself with likeminded people and I stay away from social media so I dont have to read stupid shit like this.

Then maybe they shouldn't have elected politicians who flooded their borders with hordes upon hordes of low-I.Q. 3rd world rapefugees.

[–]murdermaschine 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don’t disagree

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

And we wonder why Sweden’s on the way to becoming a 3rd world country

[–]ToCoolForPublicPool -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Lol. Just because some extremist feminists did something doesnt it mean that Sweden is turning into a 3rd world country.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No no... seriously go look it up lmao

[–]ToCoolForPublicPool 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I can only find some shady sources saying that Sweden "will" be a bit worse in 2030. A third world country is a country that is developing. I doubt that Sweden will somehow will fall so far behind.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No no.. you’re changing the words around and you know it, don’t be silly. It will be MUCH worse and every article I’ve seen goes into depth about it.

http://speisa.com/modules/articles/index.php/item.454/sweden-to-become-a-third-world-country-by-2030-according-to-un.html

Literally every link on google is the exact same thing and shows the same stats.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sweden is such a dumpster fire and the nuttiest factions in America want us to be just like them. It would be funny if it wasn't so suicidal.

[–]ToCoolForPublicPool 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What do you think is so bad with Sweden?

[–]maxmaidment 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Didn't a bunch of women get raped at this thing by men lying about being trans to get in?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Here’s a little lesson in trickery!

[–]Jamesony1 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]ToCoolForPublicPool 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I fucking hate reading about Sweden its always a dumpster fire in the comments with everyone acting like they know excatly how it is in Sweden. Everyone "cares" so much, confimation bias is strong.

[+]slapsomebass -21 points-20 points-19 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I didn't realise this was a racist subreddit.

[–]LimousineLibtard 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Women are a race?

[+]slapsomebass -6 points-5 points-4 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Just the general hate in the comments. I'm gonna say white people rape people too, probably more often

Edit: more words

[–]tehpokernoob 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Woah woah lol you think white people rape women more?

http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5195/sweden-rape

[–]LimousineLibtard 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

white people rape people too

Yes

probably more often

No

Statistically speaking, the only race that rapes less often than white people are Oriental Asians. Go ahead, look up the rape statistics of literally any country or city on earth.

Facts and statistics cannot be racist. Do you honestly think math can be racist?

I am not even trying to theorize as to why it is the case, but it is a scientific fact that non-whites rape far more often than white people on a per-capita basis.

Come up with your own reasons why. Feel free to use the socioeconomic status excuse if you want.
