It's easier to accept national pet's day than national father's day. Even though that at least exists pretty much everywhere, barely anybody knows or cares about it. You definitely don't get a reminder from literally everywhere from spams to news organizations that it's coming up, unlike with mother's day.

Because women respect pets far more than men due to pets, more commonly dogs or cats, NEVER asking for anything other than food, water, the occasional walk, and belly rubs. Women like pets more than men because women crave power that they biologically don't have over men.

Men as a group have no need for a day, or shelters as the main thread says. It is important to realize just because there is a woman's day and a woman's shelter doesn't mean you need one. There should be shelters for those who need it, not to descriminate against half the population just to make you happy
