Saying that this is the only route for all men's problems is bad. But that's not the goal; the goal is to give men who want to volunteer their feelings an appropriate outlet in a welcoming environment.

I can see the pros and cons of this. Sometimes, for some folks, opening up to someone about your issues can be very validating. Can make it easier. Not everyone processes things the same way. I don't think I could ever do this. Not in such a large group. Maybe one on one with a trusted friend. I've always been a private person and big on self-reliance.

I think the key to such a group would be to ensure that the group allows individual men to deal with their issues their way. Not pushing the "feminist" agenda.

I do keep a journal and write a little something everyday. When I'm having an issue it helps to get it out of my head. Let's me examine it. Let's me look at and say "how can I fix this".

Honestly, I'm immediately suspicious when "exploring healthy masculinity" is mentioned. According to whom? In my experience according to 99% of those who use that term unironically, I'm definitely not what they think of. I'm glad that men will have this as an option, but I wouldn't personally participate. I wouldn't talk about my life and its struggles to complete strangers.

That having been said, I already have a good network of friends and acquaintances though the gym, other interests, and my parish that I can talk to. I'm glad that others may find this good for them, but I'll happily stick to my own network who I already talk to.

Not super related, but I wanted to put this out there.

The issue with men's rights is that there is an inherent misunderstanding between women's rights groups and men's rights groups. A lot of women genuinely believe that men's rights groups exist to keep women under, and as such, don't want them around. Obviously you know this isn't the case; you probably wouldn't be here if you didn't. And often, this is through no fault of their own; the thought that men have unique issues is not something that feminist groups concern themselves with.

The only way that these misunderstandings can be cleared up is through thoughtful discussion, as well as by teaching kids that both men and women have issues, and that it's possible for two groups to be disadvantaged in different ways.

My thoughts are it will be shut within a year because some feminist group have combined that they don't admit women and because of that they could be talking about women and because of that they are a hate group.

Through the UK any male oriented group that exists to help men have been sued out if existence, sued to admit women, or just tied up in legal process that they can't operate so I expect the same for this one.
