Too many misandrists on social media nowadays
[β][deleted] 68 points69 points70 points 5 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link
To be fair this is a pretty old Tumblr post
[β][deleted] 93 points94 points95 points 5 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link
Yeah well tumblr is still full of sexist women who hate men for literally everything
[β][deleted] 17 points18 points19 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yes well at least this is one shining example of the opposite. Hoping for more. :)
[β][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[β][deleted] 28 points29 points30 points 5 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link
To be fair r/womensdatingadvice is one of the most toxic female subs there is. Not all of it is bad. But alot of it is.
[β]Initial-Spend 28 points29 points30 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
You mean r/femaledatingstrategy?
[β][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yea. I don't follow it just see posts sometimes that are cringe af. Thanks for the correction.
[β]Initial-Spend 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
That's a femcel sub. Toxicity is too damn high there
[β][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Now that you mention it, yeah it really does. I'm all for equality and shit like that but that entire sub just comes across as a female version of the incel or mgtow places. Just a bunch of people moaning about the opposite sex and saying quite awful things.
[β]Anime__Jesus 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I expected it to be like r/RelationshipAdvice where women ask for advice on like men or women theyβre dating. Instead itβs just stupid Twitter memes
[β]empatheticapathetic 24 points25 points26 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
That sub literally exists so men can read it and lose self esteem. There is no real actionable advice on there for women. Womenβs only tactic in the game is to mentally cripple men to do their bidding. Itβs the same goal as feminism.
Women never say what they mean. Theyβll spend all day on there complaining about men and then secretly jet off to meet a bunch. Then come back and complain some more. My old flatmates did the same exact thing.
[β]dust-thedust 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
just scrolled on that sub and i can agree, never thought i could have less than 0 self esteem
[β]GuyYouMetOnline -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Um...
I'm not going to comment on the rest, but either you have no idea what feminism is or you're deliberately distorting it for whatever reason. The only 'goal' of actual feminism is for women and men to be seen as equals. I won't deny that there are women that pervert the movement for their own ends, but they are not what actual feminism is.
[β]empatheticapathetic 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
actual feminism

Try harder next time.
[β]GuyYouMetOnline 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Falsely claiming fallacious reasoning isn't going to accomplish anything. The fallacy you mentioned refers to arbitrary exclusions, which is not what I did. See, here's the definition of feminism that popped up from a simple Google search:
"femΒ·iΒ·nism /ΛfemΙΛnizΙm/ Learn to pronounce noun the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes."
The people who use the term to attack men are not advocating for women's rights. Excluding people who don't fit the definition is not the No True Scotsman fallacy. That fallacy refers to changing the definition to exclude a person or group for arbitrary reasons, which is quite obviously not what I did. I'm just applying the existing meaning of the term. You, on the other hand, are perverting it to suit your own misconceptions and trying to pretend you're not by using other people who pervert the term as examples of the movement as a whole, which they are not.
[β]empatheticapathetic 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I think you missed the point of why I posted it. Or maybe you ignored it on purpose, Iβll never know. You can identify as a feminist and claim to say and do whatever you want. And so can a bunch of other people. And whoever is the loudest is going to be the one defining what feminism means to most people.
But hereβs what I really think. Whenever you or others are called out for hate speech that is never addressed or condemned by your fellow sisters and cucks, you will rush to identify as the more βvirtuousβ idea of a feminist so you can have your cake and eat it too, a behaviour you have already repeatedly displayed to me during our discussions. (btw there is no such thing as a virtuous feminist. Feminists have been practicing hate speech since day 1).
[β]GuyYouMetOnline 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Um, no. Most people who identify as 'feminist' mean that they support equal rights for women. You taking the loudest exceptions and presenting them as representing every feminist is like assuming every Christian subscribes to the hate-fueled ideology of groups like the Westboro Baptist Church. It's simply not true.
Whenever you or others are called out for hate speech that is never addressed or condemned by your fellow sisters and cucks, you will rush to identify as the more βvirtuousβ idea of a feminist so you can have your cake and eat it too
Or maybe - MAYBE - most such people are just not guilty of said hate speech in the first place? Because that's a much more likely explanation for why we say we're not.
(btw there is no such thing as a virtuous feminist. Feminists have been practicing hate speech since day 1).
Those two comments have nothing to do with each other. Every group has people who pervert it, but that does not mean everyone in said group does.
[β]empatheticapathetic 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
So you've basically spilled your agenda here.
Apparently it's inconceivable to you that people of your group would practice hate speech. 'menaretrash', 'killallmen', Drinking from mugs that say 'male tears'. These are just very overt examples. None of that would fly if a man did the male equivalent. But apparently you're blind to that. And you only acknowledge them when people use them to criticise your ideology when you can conveniently pretend that isn't feminsim.
If you aren't going to take accountability for the people representing your group and attempt to show any credibility then why do you expect me to listen to anything you have to say?
Um, no. Most people who identify as 'feminist' mean that they support equal rights for women
What rights do women not have that men have?

I think we have to learn to take basically anything anyone says on the internet with a grain of salt. I feel like there's a lot of extreme statements people make that don't really reflect their personalities. They're just venting or in a bad mood and there's no real social repercussions for lashing out on the internet.

I mean every organisation has their shady and controversial shit going on. Even though I don't personally know what the deal is with Reddit that this person is talking about, In my opinion you shouldn't give em money for the same reason you shouldn't care about karma - it's worthless Internet points.
So many people start measuring their own self worth based on likes, comments, follows, upvotes etc. It becomes more important to them than things in real life because it provides an instant dopamine hit instead of working towards actual goals and bettering themselves. I left social media behind and take frequent breaks from Reddit for those very reasons. Internet points on a screen don't get you anything in real life
[β]InfiniteRelief 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Their rules still clearly state it's okay to be racist and sexist to "non minorities". Basically what mainstream media has been for the past decade.
[β]plasmaflare34 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They specifically changed the TOS to allow racism against whites, excluding it from the general anti racism rule.
[β]GuyYouMetOnline 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
I am well aware that people can push both agendas, and hopefully that's what you meant, but I want to make sure we're clear that those are in fact two separate things, as too many people throw out bullshit claims that leftist 'agendas' are sexist.
[β]empatheticapathetic 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
Iβm sick of responding to comments like these.
The left has become incredibly authoritarian recently. Either you agree with everything they say or youβre immediately banished to βthe rightβ. And modern leftists are very sexist towards men.
[β]GuyYouMetOnline 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
Um, no. Opponents like to CLAIM those things, but they don't match any actual reality (the people who are that way are a small minority and do not represent any movement/party as a whole). Things like equal pay for women are in no way sexist towards anyone. And also there's a significant variety in terms of what people think should be done and how (I'd give examples, but I'm pretty sure you'd just ignore them, so I won't waste time on that).
[β]empatheticapathetic 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
(I'd give examples, but I'm pretty sure you'd just ignore them, so I won't waste time on that).
Hilarious. You can't have it both ways.
Just as you've stated your perception of the current left, so have I. And I guess we can let others make up their own minds as well.
Equal pay already exists for women and men. You're not doing a good job representing your side with such a lack of basic knowledge...
[β]GuyYouMetOnline 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Okay, here' some basic knowledge for you:
https://www.payscale.com/data/gender-pay-gap
And please don't pretend to be taking some sort of neutral ground here. Don't give me 'let others make up their own minds' when you have no desire to do so. And my evidence for THAT is that my initial comment was basically 'sexist and leftist positions are not the same thing' and you just went off at the mere suggestion. That is not the behavior of someone who's willing to look at things objectively; it's the behavior of people who've already decided what they think reality is and can't think of any way to react to statements to the contrary aside from lashing out.
Now, if that's the way you're going to behave, obviously I can't stop you. But I have no interest in such engagements. If you're willing to talk about things rationally, so am I. If not, don't bother.

Sort of like how women get praise when they do things that are expected of men.
[β]Tommy52854 points 5 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link
Like the equivalent of "This woman fixed a clogged toilet/installed a fridge/repaired something/etc.... "
Like seriously.... If guys called women out like this we would be branded (rightly so) as a misogynistic a-hole.
It's sad when people become so small and angry that all they can do to feel better is minimize the efforts of others.
Good for anyone to try to do things to better themselves and their families. The world needs more like that dad, and less like that sad small person with nothing better to do but criticize.
[β]point5_ 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yeah except men donβt really know how to unclog an toilet or install a fridge or repair something by experience. There might be some that are more interested in these sort of things but clearly not like women knowing how to do hairstyles

Shaving perhaps then? There are skills that many learn passed down from fathers as well. I'm tired of some people thinking fathers don't have a place when it seems to be pretty evident that two parents are a best practice to raise children and that all kids need strong influences from male and female role models to have the best chance at success.
[β]point5_ -4 points-3 points-2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Most of them don't even do that. It's incredibly rare that I meet a woman over 30 with her own place that isn't living with her parents, living off her father or living without several roommates. These aren't young women fresh out on their own, but women rolling towards middle age that still haven't perfected being a grown up.
I don't live in an expensive city either. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it.
[β]finger_milk 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Every woman I meet whose my age (late 20s) is either living in a 6 person houseshare to keep their rent cheap, or they are married and living on their husbands mortgage.
But as a man if you're not looking to get your own place, women are less attracted to you for some reason.

To be fair it's getting rarer and rarer for men too. At this point a 30 year old person is still pretty new to their career unless they went into it straight after college. If that's what they did they'd have 8-14 years in it but with a Bachelor's or nothing, ehich often locked them in at lower positions which generally paid less for that time anyways. Not to mention the debt accrued if they actually went to college.
Most of my friends are just now entering the workforce as a career at 25-26. The ones that are around 30 also did the same and still don't really have or make enough to warrant moving out of their parents' or shared. Living alone is much more expensive, thus reducing their ability to save, for almost no benefit.
The only ones really doing well are those that already got their inheritances or were already wealthy in the first place so their parents essentially got them their house "for free" already. For example my girlfriend lives alone, but then again her grandparents died and left her parents half a million that they didn't need so they got her a home. She has only been working her career for 3 years and would otherwise only have ~20K in the bank.
[β]Dogeek 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Depends, I'm 25 and have 2 masters (did them simultaneously), and I have been in my career for 2 years and 6 months now. I took a remote-only job for the last few months of my masters to be able to get some work experience. It was tough juggling for 3 or so months but totally worth it imo.
Just saying, I know plenty of people that have started working at 22 or even younger, 25 is a decent age to start, but 30 is way out there.

I've been taking my son for therapy due to issues he has with his mom who currently has 90% custody. At no point in the session did I ever accuse her of anything in fact outside of the first visit he hasn't said more than 3 words to me. My ex finally goes to a session and the first thing out of her mouth is that it's my fault he's acting out.
The doctor then asks her "you sure it's his fault" she said "yes", then he asks "how can it be his fault if he's mostly with you"?. You instantly hear nothing but crickets.

I read somewhere else that this was one of those hate groups. This is the most wholesome thing I've seen in casually browsing for 6 hours or so today.
[β]AfraidDifficulty8 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Tbh each single sub about men is labeled a hate group nowadays.

I mean, there's an upvoted comment on here that said women have no self accountability. There's a bit in the comments, and off topic posts are rarely deleted if a woman looks bad in them.

Who the heck capitalizes every word in a sentence?
[β]DrDeathMD 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I really hate how none of these images include the pussy pass holder's response to her pass being denied.
[β]Sluggateau 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Most of them don't have the balls to respond.
Literally.

So Cosmetology isn't anything to do with space and thats confusing as hell
[β]v4nk4 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yeah. If it had to do with the cosmo-s, it would be cosmo-logy. But since it has to do with cosmet-ics, it's cosmet-ology
[β][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Omg thank u, I'd never ever realised such deep etymological stuff going on here, thank you thank you thank you thank you love you ass.
Whenever I see a woman say something bitter like that, I just assume that she's lashing out because she's unhappy. When you assume this with Feminist ideologues, it becomes easier to predict their actions.

How many women learn how to play football, or how to maintain a car so that they can teach their sons?

What is with the whole "Write Every Word With A Capital Letter" thing?
I've only ever seen women do it, but I just don't know why
[β]AlicornGamer 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
its something anybody can learn, regardless of sex.
A man learning to do it so his daughter can have cool hairstyles, why tf is that an issue?
being a single parent is already hard enough as is but even then, this skill is something ither sex can learn, because, same sex coupples exist and many women dont even know how to braid/style hair in interesting and creative ways as they never learnt this skill.

Hey! It was my turn to repost this 2014 post!
[β]mrenz9 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
When I was young and going to school I lived with a friend, his wife left him with 2 young girls. I was in charge of getting them up for school. One day the older of the 2 asked why I never fixed their hair for them. I was sort of dumb struck and felt pretty badly. I have 7 sisters but still never did anything with girls hair before. So I bought a hair book, google and YouTube were still decades away, and we did both of their hair differently every day. It was incredible to me how much time girls need to spend on their hair. Some times it was simple and easy. If I remember correctly it was 111 ways to change your hair or something like that. Iβm a male By the way.
