We still have a long, long, long way to go to get equal judicial treatment.

Mr Basic, 36, lost his job, was served with divorce papers from his wife and spent a week in Silverwater Jail in Sydney’s west after he was accused of the horrific crime on November 22 last year.

So Mr. Banks lost everything and spent a week in jail while this woman spends two hours in jail and is bonded out because of community ties!

[–]kaushrah[S] 40 points41 points42 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh far from it. There is a lack of will to prosecute.

[–]irrelevantmoniker 65 points66 points67 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

and according to the article this is because caitlyn was offended by a comment by kenan. she wanted him thrown in jail because he said something that offended her. read that again.

Are you the fucking queen? are the police now palace guards?

Monkey on a stick is this the end goal of feminist legal reform? you offend a woman and you get thrown in jail?

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 33 points34 points35 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Toxic femininity totally enabled by the state.

Yes.

That's what you get for trying to help.

Next time leave the bitch on the side of the road.

Aussieland is ridiculous, these are the same tools that tolerate cunts shitting on firefighters in the middle of a fire, and give a TV platform to a bunch of hateful lesbian morons that think "the patriarchy" is running around raping women.

I hope the firefighters quit and let your houses burn down to the ground.

Australia does not deserve its men, and none of these twunts deserve anywhere NEAR the kid-glove treatement they get, including this Caitlin asshole who probably won't do more than a few hours in the clink for almost ruining a man's life who just happened to stop and try to help her.

[–]kaushrah[S] 10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Unfortunately it exists in some form in most countries now. And your point regarding firemen quitting is also seeing a trend. The whole MGTOW community is a response to Mens Rights being abandoned each and every day.

It is me, or ugly women (like this one) are more likely to make false sexual assault claims? Like, it makes them feel good that people believe them that someone was attracted to them enough to become a criminal for the sake of feeling out her body. If I heard that someone sexually assaulted this woman I would laugh pretty hard and wouldn't believe it at all.

Almost ruining a man's life?

That's what you get for helping

[–]kaushrah[S] 25 points26 points27 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s the unfortunate reality of modern age! I don’t think MGTOW is a farce - they have a point and it’s needed for their safety.

[–]gixxer 16 points17 points18 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

To date, this bitch spent less time in jail than the man she falsely accused. He also lost his job and marriage. This is not justice.

[–]kaushrah[S] 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's one of the prime reasons men are going their own way.

[–]Boeijen666 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Just shows you how toxic women are. One lies about sexual assault and his wife believed it. Australian women are something else dude.

[–]kaushrah[S] 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think it’s more of a global phenomenon. We see this behavior and such news from many countries of the world.

[–]Boeijen666 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I hope so.

[–]rabel111 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sexism in the Australian judicary is legendary. This woman lied to police in order to manipulate the legal system, her intended goal to punish a man who had not committed any crime, but had instead helped her. She achieved her goal and the man suffered significant harm to his life.

But Australian courts ignore or trivialise the deliberate harms caused to men by women, even when women sexually and physically abuse male children. When the law is applied differently depending on the birth sex of the perpetrator and the victim, that is no longer law, it's oppression.

It is clear that Australian courts do not provide impartial justice for Australian men, and more Australians are not only waking up to this sexist behaviour, they or their loved ones, are living with the consequences.

[–]Throwaway_Old_Guy 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

She should be spending, at the very least, an equivalent time in jail as her victim. Maybe make it a twofer.

Permanent record so it shows up on any employment search. (Although it may lead her to become a state-dependapottamuss because she can't find gainful employment)

[–]xRussianbishop 15 points16 points17 points 6 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

There was a post earlier on another sub saying people don’t want to help others anymore. (Exhibit A)

[–]kaushrah[S] 22 points23 points24 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

And honestly as a man I can understand. There are documented evidence now that men hesitate in giving CPR to women - since it can be taken as sexual offense.

[–]xRussianbishop 12 points13 points14 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Sadly Its effected me. In my younger years I’ve pulled over and helped anyone in need. But as things get more uncertain ive passed them by.

[–]kaushrah[S] 10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I am completely with you. This case Girl Sues Savior is a classic example

[–]xRussianbishop 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There used to be Good Samaritan laws that provide protection. But it seems they no longer carry water

[–]heeeymrtangerineman 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Had that feeling and it makes you hesitate, especially with young girls. Even if the intention is clearly to help, the picture of a grown man approaching a lone little girl in the middle of the street might lead to a whole lot of trouble if a bystander gets the wrong impression.

[–]xRisingSunx 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Had it happen to me when I was in college. Thought the world had changed but no, tall black guy walking up to a white girl who is crying makes bystander's "Rape" sensors go off immediately.

She apparently was okay her bf had just told her over text that he cheated on her while she was walking back to campus. I on the other hand got hassled by 4 "bros" who stopped their fucking car to come gang up on me and telling me to "LEAVE HER ALONE BRO!"

The girl wasn't any help because she just started screaming like a banshee for everyone to STOP!. I pulled out my pocket knife and the guys didn't even flinch. There was some shit talk, then a scuffle and one of them started bleeding and the others backed off. The Police were called and I am the one who got arrested.

My knife was legal and I told my side, the girl backed me up but I still spent 3 days in jail for fucking nothing. Was treated like a criminal and rapist the entire time, didn't even get a Sorry from the police.

Reddit will say "It not right to hate ALL police" and "You shouldn't wish death on anyone". But based on my experiences and those of others....fuck that shit. ALL of these police protect the bad ones, because they keep silent.

[–]Mindraker 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've walked right past a lost child. "Ain't touching that."

[–]rabel111 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Had this argument with several women who describe themselves as feminists, but still expect that men should stop to help women who are having car problems (or other problems) on roadways.

I stop for no-one on the basis of their sex. I will not stop to assist anyone if I believe there is a real risk of harm to myself or others in my vehicle.

My penis does not make me anybody's brute squad.

[–]heeeymrtangerineman 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I've seen that before though I don't blame them. IMHO feminism has stagnated. It's become so big and mainstream that non-inflammatory issues like these go completely under the radar. Only way I see for everyone (and I mean everyone) to progress is if it breaks up into different schools of thought. That means having proper academic branches for men's issues, gay issues, lesbian issues, trans issues, women's issues, etc. instead of piling up everything under a same blurry flag and competing for attention.

[–]Canttakethewhyfromme 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So, if Caitlyn had never confessed to her lie, would Kenan Basic have been granted conditional bail due to his strong community ties?

[–]Mindraker 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No reward for kindness.

[–]GrumpyGayGuy 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And yet I keep getting scolded by feminists saying that false accusations are a conservative patriarchal lie and that they never happen

[–]PlatinumBeetle 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Try telling them about the men who are raped by women. See if they think allegations are fake then.

Watch them become instant rape apologists.

[–]Revorob 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Mr Basic, 36, lost his job, was served with divorce papers from his wife

Says a lot about the amount of loyalty society shows men.

[–]DarkstarAnt 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nine months, that is definitely not a huge punishment......Christ

[–]functionalsociopathy 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How to Basic

[–]IzmoMI 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The punishment for a false accusation of rape should be being raped by a bull.

[–]wwstewart 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't threaten them with a good time.

[–]ThePigmanAgain 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She should have gotten at least five years, not a paltry few months.

[–]aad7990 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

As far as im concerned she got away with it. Dammit!

[–]kaushrah[S] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah she did. Tats there could b more such cases.

[–]llmethuselah 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why is the DPP not also appealing?
