So like many 30 something men’s, I’ve been watching the Marvel flicks since the early 2000s. I haven’t watched Captain Marvel because I just finished the summer semester and... really a disappointment.

All I could gather from the film (where all the men were weak, submissive, intimidated and stupid — and all the female characters were strong, intelligent, overpowered and dismissive of all male entities in all scenes of the film.

She was rude, a thief, arrogant and funnily enough; she was completely dumbfounded when her hubris involving her abilities and her “place on the totem pole” caused her to consistently be captured of beat the fuck up.

Finally — because why not — her “come to Jesus” moment was a montage of all the times the boys knocked her down and she got back up with her tiny fists clenched next to her meatless hips.

By the way; Brie Larson, amirite?! Man! This girl is made of pure champion stuff... o.o

This movie was a cringe fest of girl power with a complete lack of acceptance of responsibility or even diplomacy oddly enough. Really a shit crust film. -4/10 stars.

EDIT** I wanted to add: Her powers made her absolutely invulnerable. She had no weaknesses, there were no hostages, there were no real edge-of-my-seat moments that gave me that giddy super hero feeling. All the power with no limits or reasonable rivals.
