Recent full body and headshot photos are much more useful than any claimed weight. Women are of course well versed in the photo techniques that hide a big belly such as the up high shot where the boobs hide the stomach.

If women want to look attractive for men in the dating sphere they gotta stay slim/fit. That way they won't need to hide behind filters. To get a chance for relationship they should look authentic.

I was slim when I met my spouse and I am grateful he put me on a workout program. I was sometimes going to the gym in my single years, but I didn't realize I was ego lifting.

Women cannot be for body positivity and at the same time demand men to have "6pack" and be "6feet". This hypocritical shit is infuriating. If she demands him to have 6 pack, which is hard to get and requires sacrifices, she must mandatory be fit herself. And she has no right to demand him to be 6 feet, because height unlike weight cannot be controlled.

Ah, nothing quite kicks the proverbial hornet nest of reddit's anger more than talking about overweight and obese people.

The reason why a weight filter on dating apps will never happen is it will drive women away from them. The majority of women who use these apps don't use them to find a partner; they use them for the dopamine hit. Every man who messages them talking about how beautiful they are is a shot straight into their veins. Every time a man expresses interest in them through a right swipe is a boost to their confidence.

A weight filter would eliminate many women from the searches of men who they never intend to meet. And that is something women on dating apps cannot accept.

Like, I have a pretty clear policy, although I usually don't word it this way: no fat chicks. I'm 6'4, 210 pounds with a 47" chest and 18" biceps. I wear a 33" waist with 34" inseam. I'm highly athletic. I most likely have very little in common with mostly sedentary women whose hobbies involve sitting around eating ice cream and watching Netflix in their spare time. Of course I'll treat them with dignity and respect in a professional or personal relationship, but dating? Nope.

Alright, here's the thing: nope. If a 180 pound woman and 130 pound woman are the same height, the 180 pound woman is almost certainly going to be far fatter than the 130 pound woman.

I have no idea why people bring up muscle mass. A 180 pound woman who got that way with muscle is incredibly fucking rare. Like, I'm talking you may see one woman like that a year at most. Remember, I would only be 30 pounds heavier than this woman (and likely 10-12" taller), and I bench press 320 pounds.

Where the everliving fuck are these giant Amazonian goddesses that people constantly bring up?

Here, I'll put it another way: if I put my maximum weight on the app to 130 and therefore miss out on the chance to meet a woman willing and able to crush my skull between her thighs like a watermelon, that's on me. It's my prerogative. Filters have already made meeting people you met online a total crapshoot so at least let us filter weight.

It's certainly true that muscle is denser than fat, although unless someone is a really extreme bodybuilder that's wildly unlikely to make enough difference to alter their attractiveness to any particular person. People have repeatedly tried to invalidate body mass index as a measure of health with this argument, but for most people it's unlikely to move the number by more than plus or minus one.

BMI would be a reasonable thing to list.
